Job Description Under the direction of the Nursing Manager, and as part of a team-based health care delivery model, assists in the provision of direct patient care by performing routine patient care procedures and technical/clerical support services. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES Assisting in the delivery of competent, accurate, medical care and treatment to all patients by performing medical assistant duties. Assisting in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a registered nurse and/or medical provider. Preparing examination rooms (i.e.: stocking medical supplies, disposing of sharps containers and biohazard items, arranging exam room according to provider preferences, etc.) before and after each patient visit. Preparing equipment and supplies needed by the provider for each patient encounter. Assisting with patient processing, under direction of clinic nurse or provider, escorts patients to exam rooms in order of immediate attention and appointment times.
