Responsibilities: Ensure an efficient patient flow; room patients in a timely manner, complete vital signs, complete required screenings and complete medication reviews Inventory supplies and stock exam rooms Respond to patient requests for telephonic support (Lab results, faxing records to specialists, etc.) In accordance with state regulations, MAs may administer vaccinations, perform point of care tests including but not limited to: A1C, spirometry, EKGs, blood draws for lab testing, etc. Import required documents into EMR via scanning or PDF upload. Participate in care team meetings to discuss patient care and clinic operations Process orders for durable medical equipment Request medical records from external providers as required by the provider As required, conduct routine quality control checks including infection control measures, equipment, and checks for expired medication and supplies and/or assist in maintaining center lab Other duties as assigned What we're looking for Required Qualifications: State or national certification (as required by state), or graduation from an accredited medical assistant course 1 year experience as a medical assistant CPR or BLS Certification Electronic Medical Record experience Computer skills: Ability to quickly navigate and use multiple computer programs to include, but not limited to: Gmail, MS Word or Google Docs, Excel or Google Sheets, etc. Proficiency in non-English languages as required by the center's demographics. As a Medical Assistant-Scribe of our practice, you will be responsible for providing and assisting the provider in the clinical documentation necessary during a clinical visit under direct supervision of the provider. Responsibilities: Ability to navigate EHR to retrieve and enter documentation. Maintain working knowledge of common medications, including dosages and indications. Troubleshoot incorrect medication orders and bring to provider's attention. Access UDS/Oral Swab results and relay information to provider as appropriate. Document all visit information as instructed by the provider. Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT Codes. General knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology. Works as a liaison with administrative and billing department to ensure accurate documentation as expressed by the provider. Ensures provider completes all steps of discharge process. Troubleshoot data entry errors and corrects or escalates to HER manager in a timely manner. Review phone notes and communicate with triage. Able to communicate directly with patient in person or by electronic method. Assist MA's with workflow as needed. Able to assist with administrative duties such as assigning documents and clerical duties. Schedule appointment when appropriate. Skills: Proven working experience as a medical assistant, front and/or back-office experience. Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures. Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work. Social perceptiveness and service oriented. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and planning skills. Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software. Requirements: Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant training program or a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license preferred. Medical Assistant experience is preferred. Quickly and efficiently type in the EMR all encounters performed by the physician during daily rounds in a manner and format as required by both the practice and individual physician preferences. Type into the EMR proper diagnoses, care plans, medications, and discharge/follow-up instructions. Check on the progress of, and retrieve reports and other information (labs, x-rays, etc) for the providers to review. Requirements: Must be able to type at speed of 90 wpm or greater. Must be 20 years of age or older with a strong knowledge base of medical terminology. Knowledge of vocabulary used in the ICU setting is highly preferred but not required. 1 year of scribing experience HIGHLY PREFERRED Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time while following the physician during rounds and patient visits. Must be able to handle highly confidential information within HIPAA regulations. Must be willing to work mostly EVENING and WEEKEND shifts. We're looking for 8-12 shifts per month with each shift averaging 3-5 hours each including holidays and weekends on a rotating basis.

This position will complete all necessary on-boarding/orientation activities. 9. This position works under the direct supervision of Management and the providers.
