Adheres to departmental policies and procedures to include departmental programs, quality control, quality assurance, and safety.
Follows laboratory procedures for specimen collection and handling. Correctly identifies patients and properly labels specimens. Correctly identifies and utilizes proper tubes, containers, transport media, and storage temperature for each test type. Correctly identifies proper priority for the collection process. As a Medical Scribe, you'll be the physician's right hand-responsible for accurately documenting patient encounters, medical histories, orders, and test results. Your attention to detail ensures our patients receive seamless, high-quality care.
š Responsibilities
Transcribe patient medical reports and data accurately and thoroughly
Document medical history, physician orders, and lab/test results
Accompany physicians during patient visits to capture real-time information
Maintain Hospitality Health ER's guiding principles of care
Assist physicians by carrying out orders efficiently and accurately
Demonstrate initiative and self-direction in supporting providers
Communicate professionally with patients, families, and team members
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Medical Director

Requirements & Qualifications
Education: 2 years of college in a healthcare-related field (preferred)
Knowledge: Strong understanding of medical terminology
Training: Successful completion of clinical orientation and proven skills
Growth: Commitment to ongoing education and training
Experience: Customer service experience in high-volume, high-stress environments
Schedule: PRN (as needed) - minimum of two (2) 12-hour shifts per month, including rotating nights and weekends (Saturday & Sunday)
Skills: Ability to work unsupervised, take initiative, and collaborate effectively
