Assume temporary total project supervision responsibilities in the absence of the PM. Able to read and basic understanding of electrical drawings and specifications. Assist with establishing workflow breakdowns in conjunction with Field Supervisors and Project Managers. Assist with ensuring project billings are accurate and submitted timely, monthly, and per contract documents. Responsible for assisting in writing and submission of quality RFIs. Responsible for assisting PM to ensure timely payment to subcontractors and vendors. Able to review and update status of construction schedules as per request of PM or PX. Able to assist Project Management team with the setup of project budgets in Viewpoint in conjunction with Field Supervisor. Work with Payroll department to ensure accurate Payroll information has been submitted. Other duties as assigned. Job Description Summary: Summit Health's Medical Assistants are responsible for the daily patient care and flow of the department. MA's will gather medical histories, prepare patients for exam, assist with procedures, prepare and administer medications, deliver patient instructions and anticipate the needs of the provider they are working with while relating to the needs of the patients' care. Essential Job functions: · Prepares the examination room. Escorts patient into the room. Cleans examination room when exam is complete. · Ensures proper preparation for patient visit. Prepares pertinent information needed for patient visit. · Maintains efficient patient flow. · Communicates & provides care consistent with age, cultural, spiritual and developmental needs of the patient. · Answers the telephone in an appropriate manner. Directs calls and/or takes accurate messages. · Schedules appointments accurately and appropriately according to departmental guidelines. · Consistently and accurately stocks examination rooms with all necessary supplies. · Reconciles encounters daily and accurately, according to policy guidelines. · Effectively communicates problems, concerns or issues to the Supervisor and/or Manager appropriately and promptly. · Obtains vital signs: BP, temp, pulse, height & weight accurately and completely as required. Documents appropriately in EHR. · Reviews and updates medication list and accurately documents known allergies in the Electronic Health Record (EHR). Demonstrates an understanding of prescription control and prescription refill procedures. · Accurately documents allergies in EHR. · Facilitates transition of care to UCC/Hospital. · Provides referrals and/or consult orders appropriately and in a timely manner in the PMS and EHR. · Employs appropriate and timely use of Tasking in EHR. Education, Certification, Computer and Training Requirements: · High School Diploma or GED preferred. Accredited CMA, RMA or EMT program, highly encouraged. · Experience as Medical Assistant, CMA, RMA, EMT preferred. If no previous experience as a Medical Assistant, in-house training will be required, as applicable as deemed appropriate by Clinical Operations. · Pediatrics Only: Medical Assistant Certification and/or EMT license required · Upon hire and beyond, existing certification and/or license of CMA, RMA, or Oregon State EMT-B or EMT-P must be maintained. · BLS certification. · Excellent customer service skills. · Ability to be a team player. · Ability to deal with difficult personalities. · Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing. · Ability to organize and perform multiple tasks in a timely manner. · Basic proficiency in computer use. · Knowledge of medical office and terminology preferred. · Experience with patient care equipment preferred.     The Medical Assistant (MA) is a member of the primary care team who provides direct patient care and provider support. The goal is to provide coordinated patient centered clinical support related to visit-level care. The MA facilitates the coordinated planning of office visits via patient and team collaboration, the initial rooming of patients during office visits (including medication reconciliation, risk factor review, and health maintenance review), provider support during office visits, reviews with patient the plan of care, and assists with follow-up as needed. In addition, the MA may also perform in-office testing and clinic services (phlebotomy, EKG, hearing and vision testing, etc.), preparation and maintenance of exam rooms, maintenance of patient records, and other tasks as requested by medical providers. Patient Care Pre-visit chart scrub (EMR): Including, but not limited to referrals, reviewing medications, Immunizations, allergies, future and standing lab orders, health maintenance due, and preventive care needs. Visit prep: procedures/vaccine prep/foot exam. Medication, Immunization, and allergy reconciliation. Rooming the patient may happen in person or remote: Including, but not limited to vitals/medical records/reconciling care everywhere with health history (remote rooming is applicable to MA II and MA III only). Prepare, administer, and document medications and vaccines. Assist with clinical procedures. Review provider recommendations and after visit summary (AVS) with patient. Patient Communication: AVS, Q&A, results. Address to patient encounters via electronic health records. Conduct clinical services: Including, but not limited to EKG, pulse oximetry, hearing & vision testing, collect and/or process lab specimens, spirometer, venipuncture. Schedule patient appointments, coordination of care with appropriate staff (e.g. CHW, PharmD, RNCC, Nutrition) for appointments or tests with specialists. Deliver patient care within HRSA services scope and approved locations, encompassing patient homes, community-based sites, and providing home-based care when necessary and in adherence to defined services and safety protocols. Clinic Operations Care of the clinic, maintain cleanliness. Supply ordering. Room Stocking. Sterile Instrument Processing. Quality Assurance routine tasks (including but not limited to running controls, checking exp. dates, etc.). Skills & Knowledge Critical thinking and problem solving skills. Must have excellent written, verbal, telephone and interpersonal communication skills. Familiarity/experience with client interaction on the telephone. Knowledge of available basic community services. Basic typing skills (such as 30 WPM). Basic personal computer skills and comfort with Microsoft Windows operating system. EHR experience, EPIC experience a plus. Accredited medical assistant certification required within twelve months of hire.
