Role Requirements:
A high school diploma or GED.
A valid QMA license in the state of Texas.
About the Role:
You know better than anyone that QMAs are essential members of a facility's medical team. Your role is to assist physicians and nurses with administrative tasks and basic patient care to keep everything running smoothly. Here are a few things you might do:
Dispense oral and topical medications to residents per physician's order.
Record medications given and their dosages in the nurse's medication administration record (MAR) chart.
Observe residents for symptoms and conditions that could be related to medication interactions, adverse drug reactions, or medication side effects.
Assist with resident care as needed.
