Job Summary: Under the supervision of the acting physician, our Medical Assistants work in conjunction with staff and physicians to support the delivery of patient care second to none! The MA will take vital signs, assist the provider with our interview and care processes, treatments, delivery and transport of each patient, as directed by the physician. The Medical Assistant thrives in a fast-paced, team oriented environment with professionals in Allergy/Immunology. This position is cross-trained in all clinical administrative processes, therefore the MA will also answer phones, obtain prior insurance authorizations, perform patient reminder calls, and enter information into the EMR. Associate's or Bachelor's Degrees strongly preferred in the areas related to Healthcare. * Previous healthcare experience preferred * Must be able to achieve CPR certification within 30 days of employment. * Ability to provide excellent customer service to show superior patient care. * Demonstrates enthusiasm and drive. * Able to work compassionately with patients and coworkers to exhibit patient care second to none * Exudes respect and flexibility to impact the workplace in a positive manner. * Ability to relate and work effectively with others; works well within a team environment * Demonstrates excellent skills in verbal and written English communications for safe and effective patient care, in order to meet documentation standards. * Willingness to participate in goal-setting and educational activities for professional advancement. * Previous experience and familiarity with EMRs is preferred. * Is aware of standards and performs in accordance with them. * Able to work in a fast paced environment. * Strong attention to detail.
