As a full- or part-time Passenger Van Driver at Access Care Ride in Leominster, MA, servicing the Leominster, Fitchburg, and Gardner area, you'll play a vital role in transporting children with disabilities and developmental needs. RESPONSIBILITIES:
As our full- or part-time Passenger Van Driver, you will:
Dispatch daily to the job site from your home.
Safely transport children with disabilities and developmental needs to and from schools and programs.
Create a consistent, calm, and supportive environment during each ride.
Communicate respectfully and professionally with parents, caregivers, and staff.
Work with a monitor (when assigned) to ensure each child's comfort and safety.
Maintain vehicle cleanliness, readiness, and accurate logs of daily routes.
Prioritize consistency by being a familiar and trained driver for each child, fostering a sense of security and comfort during transportation.
Emphasize safety as a key priority in every aspect of service, ensuring that each journey is comfortable and secure.
WHAT WE NEED FROM A FULL- OR PART-TIME PASSENGER VAN DRIVER:
Valid Massachusetts driver's license, held for at least 3 consecutive years
Clean driving record with no suspensions or major violations

How you will make an impact
* Transport residents, staff, and visitors on scheduled and unscheduled appointments

What you will need
* Previous transportation services experience preferred
* Valid State driver's license. This license must be maintained as a condition of employment.
* Must possess or be able to obtain prior to starting, a current and valid D.O.T. Physical/Medical Examiner's Certificate indicating successful completion of a D.O.T. Physical Examination. This certificate must be maintained as a condition of employment.
* Minimum of 3 years of verifiable driving experience
* Must be a minimum of 21 years of age to drive
* Ability to operate vehicles equipped with wheelchair ramps and lifts, including securement systems. Ability to operate Community vehicles safely; to include non-CDL passenger buses and sedans, demonstrated by successful completion of a road test
