We are currently seeking a full-time physical therapist for our outpatient and multispecialty clinics in our Boston location Key Responsibilities:
Performing complex diagnostic evaluations upon referral and by departmental and professional guidelines and standards. Verifying appropriateness of referral, contacting provider as necessary. Reviewing patient medical history/record and selecting, administering, and interpreting standardized and non-standardized tests and measurements to assess patients' functional status related to cardiopulmonary, developmental, musculoskeletal, neurological, and sensorimotor function. Integrating knowledge into clinical decisions and recommendations.
Developing and implementing individualized patient treatment programs. Establishing treatment goals and administering appropriate physical therapy procedures and modalities. Preparing discharge plans and home treatment programs. Providing education to patients and families. Monitoring treatment outcomes, modifying programs as needed, and communicating recommendations to physicians and other providers.
Recommending orthotics, adaptive/assistive equipment, and technology for patients with complex, rare, or multiple dysfunctions. Integrates knowledge into clinical decision-making to meet specific treatment objectives. Liaison with equipment designers and vendors regarding equipment specifications and patient needs. Training patients, families, and caretakers in the use/operation of prescribed orthotics/equipment, monitors and evaluates effectiveness, and initiates modifications as needed.
Recording assessments, diagnoses, and treatment inpatient medical records according to established documentation standards. Prepares reports, correspondence, referrals, and other materials for schools, providers, payers, and others as needed.
Identifying and developing clinical knowledge and skills through participation in professional organizations, attending continuing education programs, peer review, and other related internal and external resources.
Serving as a clinical instructor in a departmental student externship program upon completing eligibility requirements. Planning learning objectives and arranges related clinical experiences. Monitoring performance, providing guidance and feedback, and preparing and conducting student evaluations.
Acts as a supervisor for assigned direct reports, including physical therapist I, physical therapist assistants and rehab aides. Assists in monitoring work assignments, identifying areas for improvement and professional development, providing instruction and feedback, and participating in performance evaluations.
May participate in departmental training and staff development programs. May supervise assigned direct reports, including physical therapist assistants (PTA) or rehab aides.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's degree in physical therapy
Experience:
Minimum of 3-5 of licensed PT experience required
Previous hospital-based outpatient PT experience highly preferred
Licensure/Certifications:
Physical Therapist license in the state of MA

The Community Healthlink Adult Outpatient Counseling Centers are integrated primary and behavioral health care clinics that provide services to a diverse adult client population. Our priority population is individuals with severe and/or persistent mental health and/or substance use conditions. The provider team consists of psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, advanced practice registered nurses, social workers, mental health counselors, recovery coaches, registered nurses, primary care clinicians, and medical assistants. The Centers work closely with referral sources such as the Department of Mental Health, local hospitals with inpatient psychiatric programs, Community Healthlink programs, MassHealth/managed care companies, and health centers.
Responsibilities:
Provides outpatient diagnostic evaluations and psychotherapeutic treatment services to adults in individual, family, couple, and group therapy; provides consultation and educational services to community groups and agencies in a manner which respects diversity.
Provides direct clinical treatment to adults as represented in the caseload through:
Diagnostic evaluations, reassessments , progress notes, screenings, and outcome measures
Crisis/emergency assessment and intervention
Treatment planning and reviews
Individual, group, couple, and family therapy

**Experience:**
+ Minimum of 2 years' experience providing direct clinical care in a mental health setting, preferably in an eating disorder or inpatient psychiatric setting
**Licensure/Certification:**
+ Pursuing a LICSW, LCSW, LMHC or eligible in required state.
+ CPR and CPI certifications, preferred
**Knowledge:**
+ Must have strong clinical, organizational and communication skills
+ Must possess knowledge of psychiatric group process, therapeutic relationships processes, age specific growth and development, limit setting and behavior management, crisis management with aggressive behaviors.

Responsibilities Include:
* Individual and group supervision by an independently licensed clinician in accordance with graduate program requirements.
* Additional clinical training opportunities provided by the organization and specific departments.
* Conducting psychosocial assessments, participating in treatment planning, individual and family sessions, and discharge planning under the supervision of licensed clinicians and with increasing levels of independence throughout the academic year.
* Development of group counseling skills and leadership of therapeutic groups.
* Case management and program operations responsibilities as defined by each program and manager.
* Collaboration with the treatment team and Walden continuum.
Qualifications:
Education:
* Bachelors Degree required.
