Program Requirements:
Within a close geography, you may be asked to float to another facility that has an emergent staffing need
Four (4) weekend shifts are required each 4-week schedule period
During the course of the 32-week period, the employee is required to work two (2) holiday shifts
Seasonal Staff are PRN status employees and are subject to first call-off. There are no guaranteed hours by the hospital
Seasonal Staff will not be eligible for benefits, except 401K and retirement contribution per the PRN policy
Seasonal Staff willnotbe eligible for extra shift bonuses

Job Summary and Qualifications
The Respiratory Therapist coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered respiratory care in accordance with the nature and specific requirements of the department, and consistent with the scope and standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. As a vital part of the patient care team, the Respiratory Therapist performs a variety of diagnostic tests and therapeutic procedures and monitors patients receiving invasive and noninvasive mechanical ventilation.
What you will do in this role:
You will perform and document patient assessment, including breath sounds, airway patency, and cuff pressure. You will conduct diagnostic procedures to evaluate the need for, and response to, respiratory therapy.
You will administer respiratory care therapies, including oxygen delivery, aerosol medication delivery, and chest physiotherapy.
You will assist with placement of artificial airways. You will initiate, monitor, and maintain mechanical ventilation.
You will monitor patient for therapeutic response. You will notify provider and intervene as appropriate in the event of an unintended response.
You will assist with transportation of ventilator-dependent patients.
You will respond to emergent patient situations and ensure airway integrity and adequate ventilation during resuscitation as required.

Position Overview:
The purpose of this position is to perform a variety of imaging procedures, including CT and X-Rays, at a technical level not requiring constant supervision.
Essential Job Functions:

The Department of Medicine, Baylor Scott and White Central Texas Region, is looking for a new Division Chief to lead our existing group of 6 faculty Physicians, 3 Advanced Practice Providers, and 1 Fellow who perform inpatient and outpatient work at our 600-bed tertiary/quaternary hospital in Temple. The new Chief would take over from an existing physician who is transitioning to part-time after years of outstanding leadership.
The SPC program is high-functioning and mature, with Joint Commission Certification, an ACGME-accredited fellowship, and strong partnerships with Inpatient Medicine, Geriatrics, Oncology, and Heart Transplant. The multidisciplinary team includes a chaplain, social worker, and child-life specialist. Growth opportunities include building upon the health system-wide SPC infrastructure to develop robust research programs, and possible leadership in the BSWH Hospice program.
The position reports to the Chair of Medicine, Dr. Michael Volk. 20% time is protected for administrative/leadership duties, with additional protected time a possibility for research and/or hospice involvement depending upon the candidates interests and background.
Minimum Qualifications:

Project Management

Change Management
+ Generate revenue cycle improvement communications across revenue cycle teams and leaders or other BSWH stakeholders impacted by assigned projects
+ Develop revenue cycle training tools and materials in concert with training teams and vendors to be delivered to revenue cycle departments
+ Partner with IS Project Managers / Process Owners / Application Analysts / Epic Analysts / Vendors to build and test system deployments compliant with change control procedures
Vendor Management
+ Manage vendor agreements, resources, timelines, etc. with accordance to the executed contract goals and objectives
+ Escalate issues, risks, decisions, approvals, and more to revenue cycle leaders and vendor leaders
Relationship Management
+ Foster positive and successful relationships at BSWH, Epic and vendors for all assigned revenue cycle projects

Under the direction of the Vice President, Revenue Cycle Support Services, the Director, Payer Performance leads Revenue Cycle's strategic efforts to identify and correct issues related to commercial underpayments and denials. Masters prepared specialty anesthesiologist assistant working under the direction of a licensed anesthesiologist. Administers anesthesia protocols to patients and follows-up on after care. The supervising Anesthesiologist shall, at all times, be accountable for the activities of the Anesthesiologist Assistant.

Essential Functions of the Role
* Administers anesthesia under the medical direction of an anesthesiologist. Administers the prescribed anesthetic with particular care to the cardiovascular, respiratory and metabolic health of the patient.
* Utilizes advanced treatment modalities to effect section 1.1 responsibilities, including but not limited to, advanced airway interventions and intubation of the trachea; starting and adjusting doses of vasoactive infusions; administering vasoactive and anesthetic drugs; administering blood; and any other treatment modalities which are prescribed by the supervising anesthesiologist.
* Consults with supervising anesthesiologist for the induction of anesthesia, for extubation of the trachea, unexpected or adverse perioperative events or at any time the prescribed anesthetic deviates significantly from its expected course.
* Establishes a comprehensive patient database (by chart/medical record review and patient examination and interview) to help in anesthetic planning.
* Orders appropriate pre-op evaluations and pre-medications after consultation with the anesthesiologist, who is then responsible for these orders.
* Develops a patient-focused culture that promotes the BEST Patient Care.
* Initiates multi-parameter monitoring before anesthesia or in other acute care settings. Modalities include, but are not limited to, ASA Standard Monitors, arterial and venous catheters. Accurately manipulates and interprets data from central venous, pulmonary artery and intracranial catheters and other monitors or devices that are indicated.
* Helps in the post-operative management of patients. Manages post-op ventilator support and acute pain management in conjunction with existing protocols or the attending anesthesiologist.

Job Summary
Under the direction of the Vice President, Revenue Cycle Support Services, the Director, Payer Performance leads Revenue Cycle's strategic efforts to identify and correct issues related to commercial underpayments and denials. This role serves as a critical liaison between Revenue Cycle leadership and Managed Care leadership to support and streamline payer communications.
The Director will also be responsible for developing tools to monitor reimbursement, track revenue opportunities, and ensure ongoing adherence-by both BSWH and commercial payers-to implemented solutions.
This position does not have direct reports but functions within a matrixed organizational structure, collaborating closely with teams across Revenue Cycle, Managed Care, Finance, and Operations.
Essential Functions of the Role
* Develop effective communication channels across the Revenue Cycle to identify commercial payer trends, underpayments, and opportunities for BSWH revenue improvement
* Track denials and avoidable write-offs (AWOs) across all regions; improve efficiency of regional workgroups by coordinating scalable, system-wide solutions
* Drive resolution of all payer-related revenue opportunities by coordinating across internal stakeholders and third-party vendors
* Serve as the central point of contact for Revenue Cycle, Finance, and Operations regarding commercial payer issues and outstanding concerns
* Manage projects related to revenue optimization and denial mitigation, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget constraints
* Support Revenue Cycle leadership with strategic planning and prioritization of key commercial reimbursement projects based on financial impact
* Represent Revenue Cycle's interests in contract negotiations; maintain a strong working knowledge of managed care contract language and operational implications
* Provide actionable feedback to inform BSWH payer scorecards and performance evaluations

* Partner with the Revenue Analytics team and Managed Care to assess financial impacts of commercial contract changes and ensure alignment with reimbursement expectations
* Co-develop reporting and analytics tools to proactively monitor reimbursement trends, identify underpayments, and uncover additional revenue opportunities-including denial patterns
* Leverage automation opportunities and system capabilities to streamline internal practices and optimize revenue
* Stay informed on emerging technologies and tools related to revenue optimization, contract compliance, and denial management, present viable opportunities to senior leadership
* Utilize a broad range of technology platforms-including Epic and other revenue cycle, analytics, and reporting tools-to support data-driven decision-making
