The surgical staff is facile with the two da Vinci robots onsite, taking the next step in laparoscopic surgery. Same-day surgery cases for additional positions that dilute the call burden. Case mix includes orthopedics, general surgery, gynecological surgery, urology, ENT, and labor & delivery. No trauma, no cardiac, and no neurosurgery. No pressure to publish. There are no take back hearts or strokes for clot retrieval. Minor trauma (i.e., ground level falls) and while there are emergencies, they tend to be urgent, not emergent. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with the Nurse Practitioner, Call Center Manager, having accountability for quality of care and education. This role requires a multifaceted approach, encompassing all aspects of care delivery. Comprehensive geriatric assessments may be conducted in-office, via telemedicine, or through on-site visits at senior facilities, patient homes, dialysis centers, and other appropriate locations. Close collaboration with primary care physicians is a must to avoid fragmented care. When performing patient visits, you will manage quality measures, perform accurate risk assessments, recommend adjustments to longitudinal care, provide care for non-life or limb threatening urgent concerns, facilitate advanced care planning, and other key actions while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to align care with patient health goals.
