The registered dietitian (RD) is responsible for the nutritional assessment and intervention of acute care hospitalized patients. The RD recommends appropriate medical nutrition therapy based on patient 's diagnosis, nutrition focused physical exam and overall health status. Act as a liaison between patients, their families and additional care staff Provides clinical support as requested for market initiatives. Manages medical and administrative equipment inventory. Ensures availability and proper preventative maintenance of emergency equipment. Troubleshoots malfunctions; calls for repairs; and evaluating new equipment. Manages medical supply inventories to guarantee optimum levels are readily available. Completes all required training to dispense medications from medication room.
