The director's medical specialty can be OB/Gyn, Maternal Fetal Medicine or Urogynecology. This leadership role will be 50% clinical and 50% administrative time. PRIMARY FUNCTION: Physician shall provide clinical direction, oversight, and physician leadership to all Ob/Gyn practices in West Florida. In collaboration with AdventHealth Medical Group (AHMG)leadership, addresses clinical, behavior or operational concerns with providers raised by other providers, patients or staff Works with AHMG leadership regarding short and long term planning of physician and APP staffing Establish and implement standard clinical protocols, policies and procedures, in accordance with ACOG guidelines, for the delivery of patient care. Ensure protocols are consistently practiced across the group. Educate and correct practices that deviate. Focus on the effective delivery of patient care services offered by the Practice and the Practices compliance with the standards of applicable accrediting bodies and regulatory agencies having jurisdiction over one or more aspects of the Practice Reasonably participate with AHMG Leadership in its investigation of patient complaints and/or claims related to the stated practices Advise AHMG leadership relating to the purchase of clinical supplies, materials, and equipment necessary to practice according to the established clinical protocols Serves as a mentor to new physicians added to AHMG Ob/Gyn practices. Cooperate and participate with Employer in order to establish a consumer-centric environment and assist Employer in the management and resolution of complaints from patients and Medical Staff; Make or direct the making of such reports and records as may be required by regulatory bodies, whether public or private, and by Employer; Assist in the design and development of patient information, medical record, and consent forms for use within the Practice Provide recommendations for in-service training of practice staff to support clinical outcomes. Advise on the provision of inpatient services for hospitals with Women's Services and establish quality standards.
