We are looking for a Phlebotomist/Lab Tech Assistant to join our full service lab team! What You'll Do: * Collects blood specimens (e.g. venous, capillary, etc.) and urine specimens including proper drug screen collections (venipunctures on neonates are N/A in the outpatient area and on the inpatient units, may be required to rotate to the off-site laboratory. * Performs patient functions in the Hospital Information System (HIS) (e.g., registers, orders, updates, prints labels, etc.) * Performs various lab duties such as centrifuging sample, places tubes on analyzers (CBC) and other lab duties/testing as deemed competent to perform. * Answers telephone, takes and relays messages; communicates test results. Prints daily and final cumulative reports; sorts reports and properly distributes. * Maintains adequate inventory of necessary supplies; orders supplies; stocks storeroom. * Assists with training of various college and vocational school students. * Works flexible hours to adequately staff department. We are looking for a Patient Representative II to join our collaborative team at Memorial Health!
