What You'll Do:
As a Radiologic Technologist, you will play a vital role in supporting vascular access procedures and maintaining a sterile field in our 2-operating-room ambulatory center. Qualifications:
To be considered, candidates should meet the following requirements:
Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
Hold a current state license and/or fluoroscopy permit to practice radiologic technology
Associate degree in a science discipline or completion of an ARRT-approved educational program
Minimum of 1 year of experience in general diagnostic, special procedures, or cardiac catheterization
Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
Preferred experience includes 1 to 3 years in general diagnostics, special procedures, or cath lab. Familiarity with interventional radiology (IR) and cath lab procedures is a plus.

Performs and assists in the direct/indirect patient care and procedures under the general and direct supervision of the physician pre, intra, and post cardiac, vascular and interventional procedures. SOME RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
-Assists physician in invasive procedures, including cardiac cath, vascular angiograms, stenting, permanent and temporary pacemaker implants and other procedures.-Assesses/Reassess and documents patient history information to include but not limited to: indications/diagnosis, clinical presentation, height and weight, allergies, lab results, current medications, heart rate, blood pressure, rhythm, pain, respirations, pulse oxygenation, peripheral pulses, patient concerns, NPO status, patient consent verification, level of consciousness.-Starts and maintains IV access per orders-Starts and maintains oxygen administration per orders-Utilizes principles of sterile technique-Provides appropriate post-procedure and discharge instructions to the patient, significant others or the caregiver. -Develops revises and analyzes an action plan for completing the procedure-Perform glucometer testing per policy and procedure-EKG monitoring-Performs radiographic procedures, operates radiographic equipment to produce angiographic, digital and other specialized images (ARRT only).-Injects and administers prescribed medications under the direct presence and supervision of the physician performing the procedure. TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform and process X-Rays using portable digital (DR) or computed (CR) radiography equipment and submit/transmit them to a Radiologist for interpretation

The Neuro Interventional Radiologic Technologist must be competent as the assistant to the Neuro Interventional Radiologist for diagnostic and interventional procedures. The technologist must have knowledge of the X-ray equipment in use, hemodynamic monitoring, cerebral angiogram coiling, avascular malformations, stroke interventions and sterile technique.
This full-time position is located at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Neuro Interventional Radiology. The hours for this position are 8:00a-6:30p and include call with a 30-minute response time. Call is one night/week and every 4th weekend.
