Job Summary and Responsibilities Job Summary / Purpose
Accurately analyzes and reports all tests ordered by the Medical Staff in a timely manner and according to laboratory procedures and regulatory guidelines to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
Essential Key Job Responsibilities
Performs and reports waived, moderately complex, and highly complex test procedures on patient specimens adhering to the Section's Standard Operating Procedures to ensure accurate and timely reporting
Provides excellent patient care through clinical correlation of results, identification of patterns of bias, rapid notification of appropriate caregivers of critical values, and completion of testing within established turn-around-time limits
Ensures that major automated equipment is operational by performing required maintenance, calibration and troubleshooting procedures; including contacting of instrument vendor for assistance or repair
Performs required calibration and quality control procedures and maintains records to ensure tests are being performed within established parameters
Performs proficiency testing as assigned and review results with laboratory clinical leaders
Assists in evaluation and generation of compliant documentation for the validation of new procedures and equipment to provide the physician with the most current laboratory technology
Participates in opportunities for continuing education and/or teaching, training according to the Section Performance Standards to enhance technical skills of students, trainees, coworkers, and self
Responsible for inventory of supplies, including providing assistance with monitoring supplies, ordering, and placing received supplies into storage
Completes all work and resolves or appropriately passes ongoing issues to incoming staff within the scheduled shift

Education:
Must have one of the following:
Associates of Science in Medical Lab Technology
Completed 60 semester hours (including six hours of chemistry and six of biology) of academic credit from a college or university accredited by a recognized regional or national accreditation agency and have completed a Medical Lab Technician Program
Completed a 50-week U.S. military medical laboratory training course within the past ten years
Certifications:
MLT Medical Laboratory Technician Certification or eligible by a nationally recognized certification agency (preferably ASCP) (required)
Experience:
Two years of technical experience in a clinical laboratory setting (preferred)
Skills & Abilities:
Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-pasted environment

Position Summary:
A Clinical Lab Scientist performs diagnostic testing on patient samples to aid physicians in the diagnosis and/or monitoring of various disease states.
Follows standardized procedures and helps prepare samples for testing. Operates laboratory equipment in a high-quality, effective manner. Analyzes test results for accuracy, acceptability, and critical limits, and reports/documents results per organizational standards. Performs automated tests using computerized instruments & automated equipment. Runs tests and analyzes the results to be reported to the patient, physician or registered nurse. Performs Quality Assurance work to ensure accuracy of equipment. Willing and able to demonstrate appropriate core competencies annually or as requested. Performs and determines accuracy of technical lab procedures. Maintains records of procedures performed, the patient results and the quality control required for all procedures performed. Maintains accurate and complete records of all quality control tests completed. Assures that all out-of-control procedures are followed and that there is documentation of remedial actions taken. Performs all preventive maintenance of laboratory instrumentation, as assigned. Reads and understands all procedure manuals on an annual basis. Collects biological specimens. Prepares and forwards biological specimens to appropriate reference laboratory according to departmental procedures.
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum Education Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or Clinical Lab Services Required
Skills Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Licenses: ASCP certification or eligibility required.

The Lab Coordinator reports to the Site Manager/Lab Manager.
Classification: Non-Exempt
Primary Responsibilities:
Ensure Compliance with Regulatory & Safety Standards - Adhere to Good Clinical Laboratory Practices (GCLP), ICH-GCP, FDA, IATA, and OSHA regulations when handling and processing specimens.
Perform Quality Control Checks - Regularly inspect sample processing, storage conditions, and lab documentation to ensure compliance and prevent deviations.
Troubleshoot Lab Processing Issues - Identify and resolve sample processing delays, equipment malfunctions, and protocol deviations to prevent disruptions.
Support Sponsor & Monitor Requests - Assist with remote and on-site lab monitoring visits, including document retrieval, sample reconciliation, and audit preparation.
Develop & Implement Lab Training Programs - Train new team members on lab protocols, safety measures, and compliance requirements.
Collaborate with Study Teams to Optimize Workflows - Work with monitors, clinical staff, CRCs, and regulatory teams to improve lab processes and efficiency.
Draw labs and collect specimen per the study protocol
Process and store lab specimens per study protocol
Package lab specimens according to study protocol.
Ship lab specimens per study protocol
Answer queries in a timely manner
Inventory lab supplies
Unpack and put away supplies and study materials received from study sponsors.
Maintain logs for refrigerator and freezers
Maintain logs for required equipment
Ensure calibration is maintained on all equipment
Complete forms and study documents with accuracy
Clean and sanitize lab area daily
Remove subject identifying documents when assisting with remote monitoring activities.
Assist clinical team with all study activities as needed. Such as vitals, EKG's, phlebotomy, etc.
Maintain a safe work environment, meeting IATA and OSHA standards.
Serve as a resource in lab for all team members to ensure protocols are followed.
Position may require occasional weekend and/or overtime hours.

Job Summary and Qualifications
The Medical Technologist collects and prepares specimens and performs laboratory procedures used in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disease. Verifies, records and reports lab results in an accurate and timely manner on all performed tests. * You will perform various types of laboratory test(s) on specimens, evaluates test results according to predefined criteria, and report/enter/verify test results in Laboratory Information System.
* You will be capable of identifying problems that may adversely affect test performance or reporting of test results and either must correct the problem or immediately notify the coordinator, laboratory management or medical director.
* You will document all corrective actions taken when the systems deviate from the laboratorys established performance specifications.

* Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in a chemical/physical/biological or other life science and relevant generalist clinical laboratory experience within the last five years
* OR Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in laboratory medical technology, with clinical rotation

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. If not already certified, must obtain BLS within 30 days of their hire date.
ACLS certification within one year of hire.
Obtain NIHSS certification upon completion of Neurovascular orientation.

The tech plays a key role in emergency cardiac care and recovery, often working in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.
