Responsibilities:
Medical Technician
Responsible for a number of functions to support medical staff and assist with the clinical and technical aspects of care within limits of certification for residents. Performs other duties as assigned. This is a safety sensitive position.
Principal Accountabilities / Essential Job Functions:
Administers resident oral and topical medication(s), as prescribed by a physician and within the scope of practice of a Med Tech, including, but not limited to: o Verifies identity of resident receiving medication.
Presents medication to resident and observes ingestion or other application.
Records name of drug, dosage, and time of administration in the system of record.
Takes and records vital signs or observes resident to detect response to specified types of medications and prepares report or notifies designated team members of unexpected reactions.
Documents reasons prescribed drugs are not taken.
Maintains related medical records under supervision of the nurse and/or medical staff.
Gives direct patient care, such as bathing, dressing, and feeding patients, and assisting in examinations and treatments.
May receive supply of ordered medications and store per protocol.
May record and restock medication inventories.
Follows written and/or verbal instructions on how to manage medications.
Identifies and reports deviations from safe practice. Adheres to policies and guidelines of regulatory agencies (i.e. OSHA).
Provides escort service to residents as directed by supervisor.
Notifies supervisor and oncoming staff of resident changes of condition, as they occur.
Provides safe, efficient, and cost--effective quality care.
Documents care per policy and procedures.
Communicates and collaborates with other members of the healthcare team to resolve resident problems and enhance care delivery and service.
Participates in quality assessment and performance improvement activities; successfully adapts to changes.
Demonstrates understanding of and commitment to the Company's Mission, Values, and Resident Care Philosophy and Standards of Care and Practice through behavior and attitude.
Responsible for upholding resident rights.
Maintains Infection Control Protocols in all aspects of daily duties.

May perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), use Automated External Defibrillator (AED), and render First Aid in emergency situations.
Attends/complies with assisted living/care center meetings, mandatory in-services and committee meetings.
Participates in orientation of new employees.
Manages emergency situations based on the Company's safety and disaster policies.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is preferred.
Work Experience: Prior experience working with geriatric clients is preferred; 6 months prior Medication Technician experience, preferred.
Licensure / Certification: Current state certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant is preferred; completed the training to be a designated Med Tech is required or must be willing and able to complete Med Tech Training; Current CPR and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) certifications are required; Current First Aid certification is required or must be willing and able to become First Aid Certified. Must be able to pass a comprehensive test based on basic pharmacology and medication safety.

What you will do
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) - Generalist to join our team. As EMTs, candidates can expect to be trained in all aspects of medical emergency response by hands-on practical application of medical emergency response methodologies, along with the opportunity to work towards 1200 hours of experience for Paramedic School (California).
This is an unpaid Volunteer/Intern position for Active Duty Service members participating in the SkillBridge program prior to completion of military service. Internship is limited to 180 days, however amount of days will be based on unit command approval. Must be available to work 40 hour per week, schedule will be four, 10 hour shifts. Candidates must possess all of the required certs to be considered and must provide their own housing and transportation.
An Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) responds to medical emergencies; renders aid to injured parties; operates ambulances and other related medical equipment; participates in station, equipment and apparatus maintenance; attends training classes and drills; diagnoses medical problems and performs first-aid and resuscitator functions; and other related duties as assigned.

Primary Duties
Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality improvement program, safety, environmental and infection control standards.
Conducts job duties in accordance with established hospital policy and safety/sanitation standards.
Draws blood (venous & arterial) as necessary following all standards.
Consults with Pathologist regarding difficult analyses or abnormal findings.

Follows QC, QA and PM program. Is accurate and complete in documentation; following through in appropriate manner.
Directs and monitors support staff; guiding in decisions and flow of department. Support staff is directed and monitored, and guides in decisions and flow of department.
Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-service meetings, and workshops. Attends continuing education courses related to area of specialization to remain current in the field.
Is a resource for problem solving, client concerns and over all laboratory practices. Serves as a resource to employees and clients.
Apprises lab management of issues, problems, concerns, as well as suggestions for lab functions. Management is apprised of issues, problems, concerns and suggestions.
Operates necessary computer system(s) to perform job functions.
Up to $20,000 Sign-On bonus based on experience!

Position Summary
Performs blood tests and studies morphology of constituents of blood to obtain data for use in diagnosis and treatment of disease. Ensures instrumentation of operating in accordance with laboratory practice.

What you will do
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Laboratory Assistant to support daily lab operations, including specimen collection, processing, and distribution. The ideal candidate will assist in maintaining lab equipment, monitoring inventory, and ensuring accurate data entry and documentation. Responsibilities include cleaning and sterilizing equipment, adhering to safety and quality control protocols, and assisting with research projects as needed. Candidates must follow all California Department of Public Health (CA DPH) regulations and maintain any required licensure. This is a great opportunity for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced clinical or research laboratory setting.
Lab Assistant Summary of Job Responsibilities:
Assist with specimen collection, processing, and distribution.
Operate and maintain basic lab equipment, following standard procedures.
Monitor supplies, manage inventory, and assist with restocking.
Accurately enter data into lab information systems and maintain organized documentation.
Clean and sterilize lab equipment and maintain a tidy workspace.
Follow protocols for quality control and report any issues.
Adhere to safety guidelines, handling hazardous materials properly.
Support research projects by following procedures and collecting data.
Ensure compliance with CA DPH regulations and maintain licensures.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience in clinical laboratory and/or specimen processing
Basic understanding of laboratory procedures and safety protocols
At least 6 months working in hospital
Current CPR Card issued by American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
Must have proof of MMR, Varicella vaccinations or titers
Proof of TB/PPD or Chest X-ray within the past 12 Months
Current Annual Health Clearance
Reliable source of transportation
