Responsibilities
A sleep technologist works under the general supervision of the medical director or designee to provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders, including in-center and out-of-center sleep testing, diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, comprehensive patient care, and direct patient education.
A sleep technologist can perform the duties defined for a sleep technician and can provide oversight of other sleep center staff.
The sleep technologist is credentialed in sleep technology.
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED
Successful completion of a polysomnography program, or Respiratory Care Program, or Electroneurodiagnostic Technologist Program, or AASM Accredited Sleep Technologist Program (A-Step)
Six (6) months of previous experience as a PSG technician and participation in an average of 10 hours per year of AMA PRA Category I CME or CEC sleep-related activities over a three-year period or equivalent minimum education
BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
* Must be RST credentials through ABSM American Board of Sleep Medicine, OR Must be RPSGT credentials through BRPT Board of Registered Polysomnography Technicians, OR Must be Sleep Disorder Specialist (SDS) through National Board of Respiratory Care

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Performs all functions of a Laboratory Scientist II with a high degree of technical skill, quality and accuracy.
2. Assist in prioritizing work tasks in order to ensure a high degree of efficiency and effectiveness in both technical and support areas of the laboratory as required by site.
a. Serve as shift supervisor as needed and directed.
b. Facilitate workflow processes.
c. Assists staff members with questions and solving problems.
d. Assures staffing is adequate for workload in both technical and support areas of the lab during assigned shifts as required by site.
3. Participate in training new employees, students and existing staff as appropriate to ensure that all employees on shift are trained, competent and understand expectations of each bench rotation and duty.
4. Participate in QC/QA tracking. Follow through on problems and develop appropriate solutions using defined departmental procedures and protocols.
5. Oversees quality control checks of equipment and instruments.
6. Assist in preparation for inspections, including CAP, safety inspections and any other internal inspections.
a. Assist/conduct mock inspections.
b. Prepare checklists for inspection.
7. Consult with pathologists, manager or technical supervisor regarding any technical or workflow issues.
8. Serve as liaison with other departments as appropriate.
9. Assist in writing and implementing new policies and procedures as needed or appropriate.
10. Maintain appropriate channels of communication within the department, providing appropriate information to staff and management.

Successful completion of a U.S. military medical laboratory training course AND bachelor s degree in biology or chemistry AND three years of direct clinical laboratory testing experience, or

On any given day, you may be called upon to:
+ This position will work a 2nd schedule (afternoon to evening)
+ Assist in the planning and coordination of daily pre and post-experiment activities.
+ Participate in the develop and implementation of Engineered Safety practices and Work Planning & Controls aligning with ES&H requirements for required work activities.
+ Set up, operate, maintain, and modify commercial and custom-built scientific systems (e.g. Magnetically Insulated Transmission Lines (MITL) and Center Stack).
+ Set up and quality check complex laboratory experiments involving various types of diagnostics.
+ Perform critical lifts with bridge cranes and forklifts, confined space entries, and assist with general laboratory operations (e.g. ordering and stocking consumables, materials movement, housekeeping).
+ This work environment requires extended physical activity while wearing personal protection equipment (PPE), including full Tyvek and respirator (2-6 hours per day); entering and working in confined spaces and non-air-conditioned environments; climbing up and down ladders numerous times a day while wearing PPE; climbing multiple flights of stairs numerous times a day; and bending, twisting, climbing, crawling, crouching, squatting, pushing, and pulling.
+ Assist, cross-train, and shadow any 1600 personnel as need to support facility operations.

This position will be responsible for performing automated and manual hematology, clinical chemistry, coagulation analyses, urinalysis and cytology. This position may perform technical evaluation of new instrumentation, method development and oversee the review and revision of laboratory policies and procedures. Responsibilities will include monitoring of all procedures and quality control practices to ensure accuracy and validity of test results and compliance with the requirements of regulatory and certifying agencies. The position will work with a multi-disciplinary biomedical research team studying the pathogenesis of infectious agents and toxicity of environmental pollutants and drug products.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or related field and one year experience as a laboratory generalist, or MLT with two years' experience in a clinical laboratory, or an equivalent combination of education and training from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been attained.
Certification by a recognized agency (ASCP, NCA, AMT) is required, but will consider applicants who are in the process of obtaining certification and can obtain certification within 6 months of employment.
Must have demonstrated proficiency as laboratory generalist including hematology, chemistry and urinalysis. Knowledge of GLP's and experience with laboratory animal research and/or ABSL3 environment is desirable.
A Post-offer physical and background check are required as well as the ability and willingness to obtain required vaccinations and clearances. Ability to gain and maintain access to Kirtland Air Force base (KAFB) is required.
Relocation may be offered for this position.
Physical Requirements
Work is performed in a wet laboratory environment. Will operate standard laboratory equipment and will frequently stand, walk, sit, perform lab- and desk-based computer tasks, perform laboratory techniques requiring grasping/pipetting/hand dexterity, perform repetitive motions and occasionally lift objects that weigh up to 50 pounds. Will wear personal protective equipment which may include a respirator. May work in close proximity to an environment containing research animals and may be required to work with or be in areas where hazardous materials and/or infectious agents are present which may require vaccinations.

3D Printing:

Our community is looking for a Care/MedicationTechnician to join our team.
The Care Giver/Med Tech role includes providing hands on care, physical and emotional support to each resident while maintaining a safe and comfortable home like environment.
Responsibilities:
Care Giver:
Responsible for a designated group of residents during the shift; knows where their residents are and physically checks on them throughout the shift.
Observes, reports and documents symptoms and conditions of residents for changes in condition such as skin, behavior, alertness, weight, dietary and participation in activities.
Responds to security system and resident call bells promptly.
Notifies supervisor and/or Health Care Coordinator if a resident has increased care needs.
Assists with continence management and disposes of all continence products properly to ensure sanitation of resident suite and community restrooms.
Serves and collects food trays and assists as needed; reports refusal of meals or loss of appetite.
Maintains cleanliness of resident's room and work areas.
Practices good standard care precautions of cleanliness, hygiene and health.
Helps residents maintain independence, promotes dignity and physical safety of each resident.
Actively participates/leads and assists residents with activities of daily living (i.e. bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, ambulation, transferring, eating) as instructed.
Engages residents in life skills and other life enrichment activities.
Greets and assists all internal and external customers, guests, family members, residents, vendors and team members.
Does resident laundry as assigned and needed.
Medication Tech duties:
Reviews service plan to learn pertinent information about residents.
Assists/observes medications and treatments for each resident using the medication observation record and the Six Rights of Medication Pass.
Documents and initials form as medications are given including appropriate documentation for refusal or missed doses.
Maintains confidentiality of all resident information including resident medication.
Reports all resident concerns made while assisting resident with the medication to the Nurse and/or Health Care Coordinator (HCC).
Restocks medication cart after all medication passes.
Assists in checking medication regardless of packaging system.
Counts all narcotics with another Medication Care Manager or Nurse each shift.
Maintains and cleans the Medication Room, med charts, treatment carts for neatness cleanliness, availability of medications and expired medications.
Follows re-fill process for medications.
Participates in the development of the Service Plan and monthly updates.
Takes and records temperature, blood pressure, weight, pulse and respiration rates.
Reports occupational exposures to blood, body fluids, infectious materials, sharp sticks and hazardous chemicals immediately.
Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
Qualifications:
Certified Nurse's Aid certification preferred.
High School diploma/GED
Must be 18 years of age.
CPR Certification preferred
First Aid Certification preferred
Previous experience working with seniors preferred.

JOB SUMMARY:
The Digital Lab/Clinical Support tech is responsible for working with advanced digital technologies in the dental lab environment to create precise and customized dental products, including, dentures, partials, provisional temps and other prosthetics. This role involves the integration of digital design files with manufacturing equipment, ensuring high-quality, accurate products, and assisting in the development and maintenance of digital workflows. Also will be required to support the Dr and staff during and after surgery and other prosthetic related appointments. The ideal candidate will have experience with CAD/CAM systems, 3D printing, as well as a strong understanding of dental materials and procedures.
Requirements
Digital Model Assembly:
Interpret and assemble digital files (STL, OBJ, or proprietary formats) into the correct design and form for dental prosthetics.
Collaborate with dental technicians and CAD designers to ensure the digital models meet design specifications.
Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to digital file integrity or compatibility.
3D Printing:
Set up, monitor, and maintain 3D printers and other equipment used in the production of dental prosthetics.
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of machinery to minimize downtime.
Ensure precision and accuracy in the production process, adhering to industry quality standards.
Characterize prosthetics using optiglaze to achieve patients requested gingival color.
Quality Control and Ordering Supplies
Inspect digital models and final products to verify dimensional accuracy, fit, and finish.
Perform necessary post-processing tasks, such as cleaning, polishing, or adjusting 3D printed parts.
Implement quality control checks to maintain consistency and precision throughout the manufacturing process.
Maintain a clean and stocked lab.
Workflow Management:
Maintain an organized digital file system for easy access and retrieval of patient data and designs.
Collaborate with the dental lab team to ensure smooth communication and workflow between digital design and physical production stages.
Assist in streamlining digital workflows for efficiency and continuous improvement.
Patient Interaction and Support:
Work with dentists and dental professionals to resolve any technical issues.
Assist dentist in OP during patients appointment if needed.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Dental experience is required
Ability to work independently is required
Ability to work in fast past environment is required
Ability to problem solve common issues is requried
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge on digital equipment is preferred

Medical laboratory technician job in Rio Rancho, NM
Schedule: Thursday-Sunday 1000-2030 with weekends, holidays, on-call and other shifts as needed.
The Clinical Lab Assistant Phlebotomist is able to work independently and with minimal supervision and/or oversight. Successful candidates have the experience and skillset to perform one or more identified modalities. Compensation is dependent on the number of modalities performed. Candidates without experience may be considered for a paid apprenticeship level. Regular in-person attendance during scheduled work hours is essential.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTION:
The following items are requirements for all individuals.
1. Performs duties in a professional and courteous manner.
2. Maintains supplies and inventory necessary to perform departmental functions.
3. Observe students and\or new staff as needed.
4. Exhibit basic problem solving skills to ensure exceptional customer and patient care service levels.
5. Responsible for hospital communication responsibilities as assigned, including on-call responsibilities during scheduled hours (cell phone) by location.
6. Demonstrates effective telephone and verbal communication skills
7. Actively demonstrates professional judgment when dealing with clients, patients and co-workers.

Minimum Qualifications:
MINIMUM EDUCATION:
H.S. diploma or equivalent.
PREFERRED:
PBT (ASCP) or equivalent certification.
Completion of a relevant Clinical Lab Assistant or comparable program
IMMUNIZATION REQUIREMENTS:
Prove Immunity to Hepatitis B, or be immunized, or sign a waiver refusing Hepatitis immunization. Provide documentation of a PPD test conducted not more than 90 days prior to date of hire, or have a PPD test conducted through TriCore.
IN DEPARTMENTS/LOCATIONS WITH DIRECT PATIENT CONTACT: Prove immunity or be eligible to receive rubella, rubeola and varicella immunization.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Valid driver's license. Good driving record. Must be insurable by lab insurance carrier as required by location.
2. Eligible to work in a health care facility as provided by the New Mexico Caregivers Criminal History Screening Act or other applicable law.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
Candidates with no training or experience may be considered for an apprenticeship.
Selected Candidates will be placed into CLA Level 1, Level 2, Level 3, or Level 4 based on the number of modalities (listed below) completed on a regular basis. Assigned modalities are determined by the department leadership.
Modalities:
1. Check-in and Order Entry\Reconciliation- (Modality per system- Clinical, Anatomic, Research, Referral Testing) Including, but not limited to:
a. Identifying patient in system
b. Reconciling electronic orders
c. Manual Entry when necessary
d. Insurance\payment when necessary
2. General Phlebotomy (ages 10 and above) includes vacutainer , butterfly and syringe collections.
3. Special Collections and/or external shipping certification. Special Collections include but are not limited to arterial blood gas, pediatric and infant draws, sweat collection, breath collections, occ health/drug screen collections, MRSA and Covid collections, therapeutic phlebotomies)
4. Assisting provider performed procedures, including but not limited to FNA, Bone Marrow, EBUS, Bronchial lavage.
5. Specimen Processing (includes Specimen receipt, specimen sorting , specimen delivery\loading, decanting and retrieval for send out testing and surgical sample triage, Specimen storage and disposal functions)
6. Non-conformity investigation\Problem Resolution (examples Problem Desk aka Portal, TLC, NCE responses, client service) includes proper documentation.
7. Lab Equipment Maintenance and\or support (superuser), to include chemical and biohazard waste management for non-testing instrumentation (cryostats and stainline)
8. Sample Testing (waived to moderate) including appropriate instrument maintenance, including biohazard disposal, and QC.
a. Reviews results to see if they are within defined parameters. Identifies and resolves technical specimen problems. Report out results.
b. Identifies, researches and resolves specimen, QC, or instrument problems.
9. Consistent training and\or assisting in competency assessments of modalities to employee and\or students with completing initial training documentation. This may include N95 FIT Testing,
10. Department specific skilled technical assistance:
a. BB-Product prep: irradiating units, thaw cryo and plasma, splitting plasma and platelets
b. Infectious Disease- Planting patient specimens that includes: Tissue and Bone processing (grinding and cutting), Plate Inoculation, Knowledge of anaerobic versus aerobic incubation requirements
c. Genetics and Cytometry Nucleic acid extraction, cell culture and harvesting, renal transplant kit oversight and patient testing scheduling and monitoring
d. Histology and Cytology Cytology specimen processing, slide preparation and staining, Histology specimen processing, including bone marrow grossing and knowledge of processing for each tissue type.

11. Department specific clerical or support functions
a. Organization of AP/HP cases and slide distribution
b. FFPE Block and slide filing and material retrieval
c. Consult Case management (ordering, material retrieval, billing, Client on the Fly, report upload)
d. Client Material return
e. Unit allocation & issue: cryo, plasma, platelet, bone and tissue
12. Skilled Inventory management: (ordering, receiving, monitoring par levels, end of month reconciliations, includes blood supply, reagents, supplies, TriBuy training and competency)
