KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
* Performs complex processes including collecting bone marrow, performing and staining pathology frozen specimens, performing EKGs, processing and resulting send outs, and resulting moderately complex testing.
* Obtains specimens from inpatients and outpatients following proper identification protocols and appropriate techniques to maintain the integrity of the specimens and prioritizes collections to meet established turnaround times.
* Supports patient testing by performing waived testing, loading analyzers, and performing lab functions, as needed, to meet patient demands.
* Adheres to OSHA and ThedaCare department policies for specimen collection and handling to ensure a safe work environment.
* Provides training for new lab and non-lab team members to retain top talent.
* Performs specimen-related computer functions with accuracy and speed including entering physician's orders, processing cancelations, and entering add-on tests to ensure regulatory compliance.
* Enters, activates, and/or reviews physician's order in the system with accuracy for patient safety and quality.
* Maintains supplies and assists with inventory and ordering to ensure the availability of supplies to perform patient care responsibilities.
* Performs special specimen collections (i.e., legal specimen collections) to support patient testing and follow up as required by law.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* High School diploma or GED preferred• Must be 18 years of age
* Two years of laboratory experience and Associate's degree or four years of equivalent experience in progressive complexity of responsibility in a laboratory.
* Completion of BLS Certification will be required for candidates working at ThedaCare Medical Center - Wild Rose

About the Opportunity
The Medication Aide administers prescribed medications and treatments to residents who need assistance in accordance with state regulatory stipulations and requirements for safe administration. Observes the resident taking the medication, notes effects including any unexpected or adverse effects, correctly documents the required information in the residents' medication administration records, communicates any concerns or observations with the Wellness Director, Wellness Coordinator or designated personnel. The Medication Aide also supports residents with activities of daily living including personal hygiene, socialization, cognition, and physical health. Encourages resident independence, supports resident choice and preserves resident dignity through professional conduct and interactions.
Critical Success Factors
Successful completion of medication assistance training in compliance with the state's regulatory requirements and facility requirements.
Maintains up-to-date medication certification requirements according to state regulations.

**Job Description**
The Neenah Innovation Center Analytical Laboratory provides chemical and materials testing to support technology research, product development and manufacturing process improvement in North America and globally.
Level 1: Possess basic abilities and knowledge to perform the below. Typically: requires additional leadership support for basic to intermediate issues, executes requested lab analysis by applying known methods to measure physical properties, and supports the maintenance of basic, standard lab equipment.
**WHAT YOU GET TO DO**
+ Independently follow testing protocol, applying known methods to help solve problems
+ Follow American Society for Testing Materials (ASTM) and internal methods to complete physical property testing
+ Record test results appropriately and prepare reports for interpretation.
+ Support communications of key updates to stakeholders - primarily within R&D.
+ Be responsible for basic testing equipment, including cleaning, verification and/or calibration. Examples include micrometers and optical property test equipment.
+ Train other lab users on assigned testing equipment and test methods, including safety protocols
+ Maintain clean work area and routinely assist in cleaning and organizing the laboratory
+ Suggest possible test method improvements based on training and observations. Work with leader or more senior technicians to implement the changes.
+ Provide back up for other lab team members.
+ May support special projects as assigned.
+ Build strong internal customer support brand through service excellence and positive engagement.
+ Maintain processes, standards and metrics to support a customer-focused team. **WHAT WE VALUE**

Requirements
