Registry eligible candidates must successfully complete the Board of Registry examination within 12 months of employment. Maintain continuing education credits equivalent to the state requirements as needed for license and certifications. May be required to have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab Technologist with at least 1 year of experience for a Level 2 trauma acute care setting, requiring ARRT or RCIS credential and BLS certification.
Responsibilities
Position is in an acute care cardiac catheterization lab with 3 procedure labs
Cases include emergent revascularization, LHC, RHC, peripheral diagnostic/interventional, cardioversion, TEE, device placement, pericardiocentesis, and temporary pacemaker procedures
Daily average of 4 cases per lab with adult patient population
Equipment used includes Epic EMR, Philips Xper (Hemo), Siemens C-Arm, IABP, Impella, Shockwave, Laser, IFR/FFR, IVUS, Rotapro, and 4 port manifold
Day shifts Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with on-call 1-2 days per week and every 3rd weekend
On-call response time is 20 minutes
Floating to Heart and Vascular Pre/Post as needed for support
Scrubs provided; hospital-designated shoes required
Primary duties include panning, scrubbing in, and starting IVs
Orientation consists of one week in classroom and lab settings
Unit is supported by 24/7 intensivist MD and charge staff
Team lead manages shift scheduling, posted 17 days in advance
RTO up to 7 days permitted per 13 week contract and must be declared up front
Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility
Former employees of CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity within the past year will not be considered
Bring your own lock for a locker
References required include one supervisor reference from within 12 months and one peer or supervisor reference from within 3 years
Requirements
Minimum of 1 year Cath Lab experience
Current BLS certification required
Current ARRT or RCIS credential required; ARRT must be registered with NDMIRT
If ARRT credentialed and responsible for activating fluoroscopy, an active ND Rad Tech license is required
Lead badge (radiation badge) required prior to start
ACLS certification required
Experience with panning or scrubbing; panning experience is acceptable
Experience with IABP, Impella, Shockwave, IVUS, Rotapro, and starting IVs preferred
Experience with Epic EMR preferred
License required if applicable
