Maintain laboratory logbooks and the Hold/Disposition Log. Complete and report product testing using the Product Testing Record. About the Role The role of the Cytotechnologist is to perform complex technical tasks involved in the preparation and screening of cytology slides for evidence of cancer or other pathologic conditions. What You'll Be Doing Receive specimens and assign accession numbers to specimens received in the accession log book. Gives a gross description to each specimen received. Orders appropriate cytology requisitions and completes template in Medent computer system as required. Files cytology slides and requisitions after the final report is signed out.
