We are seeking a dedicated Medical Laboratory Technician who is comfortable relocating to the designated location once it opens in January 2027. This role involves performing a variety of lab tests classified under CLIA-88, drawing blood, interpreting microscope results, and collecting specimens.
Responsibilities
Perform lab tests classified under CLIA-88.
Draw blood samples as needed.
Interpret results through microscope analysis.
Collect and handle specimens efficiently.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in medical laboratory procedures and lab testing.
Experience in clinical testing.
MLT certification or CMA with lab experience.
Associate degree in medical laboratory technology or completion of a recognized Clinical Laboratory Technology course.
Certification, or eligibility for certification, as MLT (ASCP) or equivalent.

Work Environment

* Analyzes quality control data, makes judgments concerning the results and takes appropriate action to maintain test accuracy and precision.
*Education:*
* Associate degree in a science-related field with a certificate of completion from a Medical Laboratory Technician program from an accredited institution. Military education and experience will be considered providing that the applicant has completed the full laboratory training course of 52 weeks and has at least one year's experience in a military hospital.
* A minimum of six months clinical internship is preferred. Those with military education will need at least one year's experience in a military hospital. Certified as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) from the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or equivalent.
* May be hired into this position if he/she has completed the requirements for registration but has not successfully completed the MLT exam; however, the exam must be successfully completed within 6 months subsequent to hiring. Demonstrates professionalism and teamwork.
* Has knowledge of and can operate laboratory related computer software and systems.
* Child and Dependent Adult Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training is required within 6 months of hire and every 3 years thereafter.

Pre-Analytic workflows
* Greets everyone with a pleasant and professional manner, using patient experience best practice guidelines (AIDET, 5/10 Rule and No-Point, etc.).
