Responsible for assisting in the laboratory to optimize workflow. Responsibilities include organizing and directing laboratory workflow. Examples of typical duties include:
* Opening the kitchen prior to class.
* Supporting the student-run cafe; including preparation of food and cashiering.
* Assisting in the upkeep and sanitation practices of all areas of the Culinary and Allied Health building.
* Assisting in receiving, storing, and the distribution of all food and supplies.
Minimum Qualifications:
* A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
* Knowledge of proper food handling practices is required.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

The knowledge of hazardous waste characteristics, hazardous waste volume generation limits, accumulation limits, spill control measures, record keeping, proper handling and container management, labeling, container and storage inspection.
Working Conditions: Possible exposure to infection from disease-bearing specimens; regularly exposed to the risk of blood-borne diseases; must comply with applicable safety procedures.
Vision Requirements: Far acuity-ability to see clearly at 20 feet or more; near acuity-ability to see clearly at 20 inches or less; depth perception-ability to judge distance and space relationships; color vision-ability to distinguish and identify different colors.
License/Certification/Education: Must have a BA/BS degree in Biology, Chemistry, Medical Technology, or other related science or all required city/state/licenses or permits to qualify as a Technologist plus 1 year of clinical lab experience
