What Will You Do in This Role
Provide cost-effective equipment inspection, maintenance, calibration, and repair service on a variety of medical devices
Complete all paperwork and computer data entry accurately and promptly to ensure complete documentation for billing and required regulatory compliance.
Communicate with clinical staff on the topics of equipment features, functionality, etc.

Role:
This position is responsible for working with the Laboratory and Medical Directors to ensure the quality of laboratory testing in accordance with established policies and procedures and CAP/COLA/CLIA standards. In this role, you will:
Perform a vital part of the patient care process through moderate complexity testing
Recognize when corrective action is needed and implement effective solutions
Work in a fast-paced laboratory environment with biological and chemical hazards
Champion safety, compliance, and quality control
All you need is:
At minimum an associate's degree in laboratory science or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution
1 year of laboratory training or experience performing high complexity testing
Certification from the American Society of Clinical Pathologists or equivalent
Strong reading, writing, and analytical skills
Ability to operate general laboratory equipment, including but not limited to: telephones, computers, automated analyzers, centrifuges, microscopes, manual and automated pipettes, and audible alarms

The lab technician will be cross-trained to conduct asphalt testing in our Hondo asphalt laboratory. Our lab conducts QC/QA testing for many other Martin Asphalt terminals as well as all of the company's R&D projects. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Maintain files for equipment calibration and verification, and ensure that calibration and verification are carried out according to schedule
* Processing Invoices, purchasing lab supplies/equipment
* Laboratory data entry into various internal and external reporting databases
* Maintain an accurate lab inventory and order supplies as needed
* Assist the Laboratory Supervisor with special projects as needed
* Perform PG testing
* Make blends upon request

* High school diploma or equivalent
