PHYSICAL WORK ENVIRONMENT:

WORK SCHEDULE:

The Clinical Lab Technologist position will be responsible for processing medically relevant biological samples through extraction and/or high throughput next-generation DNA sequencing assays. This role will work within a team of Laboratorians in a fast-paced, high production setting to process research and clinical diagnostic samples to provide test results to patients, oncologists and other medical practitioners and researchers. In this role you will:
Maintain accurate inventory logs, track material levels, and reorder supplies to prevent shortages.
Receive incoming shipments of lab materials and equipment, verify shipment accuracy against purchase orders, and ensure proper documentation and storage of all lab materials and equipment. .
Prepare and deliver shipment packages to carriers.
Coordinate and submit purchasing requests for the lab.
Conduct routine safety equipment inspections.

Position Summary:

Essential Duties:

* Oversees training of new staff to ensure that training is completed and documented on a timely basis. Work with the supervisor to annually perform, assess and document competency evaluations of current employees, Maintains confidentiality regarding concerning staff and personnel issues. We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to manage a comprehensive physical inventory for onsite assets, which includes all lab equipment, large and small. This project involves inventorying 20,000 assets across three locations in New Jersey.
Responsibilities
* Conduct a physical inventory for onsite lab assets across three locations in New Jersey.
* Remove old tags from equipment and replace them with correct new tags.
* Utilize an iPad to validate and ensure the correct tagging and placement of equipment.
* Adhere to PPE lab protocols, ensuring strict compliance, such as no gum chewing.
* Maintain exceptional attention to detail, ensuring tags are placed consistently on the same exact spot on equipment.
Essential Skills
* Experience working in a laboratory setting.
* Strong attention to detail and precision.
* Proficiency in data entry and inventory management.
* Understanding of quality control and inventory accuracy.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
* Lab Technicians or entry-level college graduates with lab experience or internships.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate needs for assistance.
* Proactive personality and willingness to take initiative.

This is a Contract position based out of Seattle, WA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
