The Executive Director is responsible for all aspects of the medical laboratory technician program and future programs as they pertain to the entry level programs on both the Gloucester and Cumberland campuses. The Executive Director is responsible for development, implementation, and evaluation of contemporary curricula, as well as coordination of contemporary resources for student instruction. Position Summary The Project Coordinator is responsible for reviewing order confirmations, coordinating with the lab, multiple laboratory operational activities, and acts as the point of contact between operations and internal and external clients. Prepares test samples, readies equipment under the direction of laboratory supervisor and/or manager. Responsible for recording, reviewing, and reporting data. Job Functions Coordinate execution of SGS testing and other services with local labs and global affiliates including sample processing Performs job ticket review and monitors closing and invoicing of jobs folders Maintain tracking spreadsheets and email correspondence Provides support to all staff members of the department, including training where appropriate Support Operations efforts with Sales, Technical and other departments May communicate with clients regarding time performance or problems encountered in the particular analysis Assists in calibration scheduling and other ISO 17025 related activities Prepare specimens for use in testing, following standardized procedures Uses and operates any equipment or test apparatus in the laboratory, with appropriate training Assists in maintenance and troubleshooting of testing equipment Read, comprehend and execute new test methods/standards capability added to the department operation Sets up laboratory equipment and/or instrumentation required for the analysis of samples in accordance with AATCC, ASTM, FTC, CFR, ISO, and other procedures from state and local municipalities, client proprietary procedures, and other non-routine procedures Assist in keeping inventory of laboratory chemicals and equipment necessary for the day-to-day functioning of the laboratory and in compiling a list of supplies to be ordered when needed Periodic analysis of known standards and/or samples relative to various areas of testing are employed both as a means of method validation and analytical proficiency. Job Summary: Performs select diagnostic testing and basic activities necessary to provide laboratory testing services. Testing scope may cross several laboratory disciplines such as hematology, urinalysis, and/or chemistry. Minimal interpretation and judgement are required to perform analytical processes. Compensation: $21 - $23/h depending on education, experience, and skillset. Essential Responsibilities and Duties: Have full knowledge of laboratory procedures and processes per protocol, laboratory manual, shipping manual, etc. Assist the laboratory manager in site preparation for study conduct. Assist in the creation of laboratory documents (i.e. harvest logs, etc.) Assist in the preparation of collection tubes, vials, study supplies for visits. Monitor temperature of laboratory sample storage and address any excursions. Maintain harvest logs, chain of custody, laboratory sample manifest/inventory logs and/or memos. Pack and properly label all study materials for storage or return to sponsor upon study close out. Obtains samples per protocol, performs select diagnostic tests or limited high complexity testing and documents process in source documents. Assists in gathering data for validations on select instrumentation. Assists with monitoring supply inventory. Stores samples in an upright position in appropriate shipping boxes in the freezer.  Stores primary and secondary samples in separate shipping boxes. Ensures freezer/refrigerator temperature is within range for protocol and ensures appropriate logs are kept. Supports and ensures strictest adherence to best practices, FDA Code of Federal Regulations, ICH (International Conference on Harmonization), GCP (Good Clinical Practices), CenExel standard operating procedures, site working Practices, protocol, and company guidelines and policies. Assumes other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
