About the role:
Every day, the donors you meet will motivate you. The high-quality plasma you collect will become life-changing medicines. Here, a commitment to customer service and quality is expected. You will report to the Plasma Center Manager and will perform as a plasma donor screener and perform phlebotomy to support plasma center operations.
How you will contribute:
· You will answer phones, and greet and focus on our donors, while ensuring the safety of donors and our team.
· You will screen new and repeat donors and take and record donor vital signs and finger stick results.
· You will use our Donor Information System, prepare donor charts, maintain accurate records, and coordinate donor compensation.
· You will help identify operational opportunities for continuous improvement and initiate changes to center processes using company approved procedures.
· You will be there for our donors, which includes working a variety of shifts, Saturdays and Sundays, and holidays.
What you bring to Takeda:
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire work shift
· Will work evenings, weekends, and holidays
· Ability to lean, bend, stoop, crouch, and reach above shoulders and below knees

Responsibilities

PREPARATION AND TRAINING Medical Technologist/MLS/CLS: Baccalaureate Degree in Medical Technology or related science with 12 months of clinical education in an approved school of medical technology. Must be currently registered or eligible for registration as a MT/MLS/CLS(ASCP) or equivalent. Must currently hold or be eligible for ND Licensure. BLS certified for CPR. Position is required to attend Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) training in the appropriate timeframe according to department orientation checklist. Medical Technologist (HEW) - successful completion of a qualifying exam offered by the Department of Health, Education, and Welfare.
WORK EXPERIENCE: Six to 12 months in a hospital training program.
ATTENDANCE: Punctual and regular attendance is an essential responsibility of each employee at JRMC. Employee are expected to report to work as scheduled, on time and prepared to start working. Employees are also expected to remain at work for their entire work schedule.
ANALYTICAL ABILITY: Performs laboratory procedures, including instrument operation. Recognizes factors affecting measurement of test results. Recognizes results that are abnormal or deviate from those expected. **Qualifications**
Bachelors degree in laboratory or biological sciences required.
Possess a national certification for Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) through an approved Health and Human Services (HHS) agency, for example American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or be registry eligible. Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) also acceptable. Registry eligible candidates must successfully complete the Board of Registry examination within 12 months of employment. If working in North Dakota (ND), must be licensed by the ND Board of Clinical Laboratory Practice. Maintain continuing education credits equivalent to the state requirements as needed for license and certifications. May be required to have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

This position is to assist the Center for Biomedical Research (CBR) in maintaining a well-organized and functional lab space. CBR has many labs for faculty and their staff to conduct research utilizing mice and rats. This position will save valuable time for CBR staff and faculty as well as expose the student to current studies in progress.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Preparation and sanitation of equipment to include cages and cage racks
* Assist in cleaning facility areas
* Maintain cleanliness of the halls, corridors, break room, and meeting rooms
* Sweep/mop/sanitize procedure and labs
* Trash removal
* Wash windows
* Wipe shelving
* Change filters
* Safely operate cleaning equipment
* Report damage and needed maintenance repair items
* Assist with preparing animal cages
* Filling food buckets
* Filling water bottles
* Prepare cages with bedding
* Assist with regular inventory control.
Minimum Requirements
* Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
* Possess a basic understanding of cleaning procedures and equipment.
* Interact positively with supervisor, staff, and faculty.
* Be punctual, courteous, reliable, and self-motivated.
* Ability to work well with others as well as independently.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Interest in learning about research and/or animal care.
* Availability from 8:00am-5:00pm
* Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check
