In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for performing complex clinical laboratory tests on specimens for diagnostic purposes under minimal supervision.

Follows approved guidelines in approaches to problem solving and devises appropriate courses of action when patient results, control values and instrument function parameters are inconsistent or invalid: including investigation of possible sources of variance/interference, by taking appropriate action and/or performing additional testing as necessary to assure the accuracy of the reported patient value. Maintains sufficient working supplies in order to assure the continued integrity of workstation operations.
Maintains up-to-date pending logs to ensure that all specimens have been processed accordingly.
Performs and documents preventive maintenance procedures and instrument function checks.
Performs preventive maintenance procedures at each workstation as required.
Documents all maintenance performed, both scheduled and unscheduled.
Documents all required information in the appropriate section of the instrument problem log.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
NYSDOH Licensed as a Certified Clinical Laboratory Technologist.
Bachelor's Degree in Clinical Laboratory Technology from a program registered by the NYS Department of Education or Bachelor's Degree in the major of biology, chemistry or physical sciences from an accredited college or university or education requirement grandfathered by the NYSOP.
One year experience in a clinical laboratory (completion of an internship at a qualified institution is acceptable).
Effective Interpersonal Communication skills required.

Position Title EMT Instructor Intern Campus Plainfield Department EMT Full-time, Part-time, Adjunct Part Time Exempt or Non-Exempt Non-Exempt Regular,Temporary, or Grant Regular General Description Instructor Intern's responsibilities shall be teaching course segments as assigned by EMT Program Coordinator but only under the direct supervision of a NJ certified EMT Instructor.
Characteristics, Duties, and Responsibilities
* Teaches assigned courses material in accordance with the approved course outline, in accordance with schedule of classes and incorporating alternative approaches, technologies and methods when possible.
* Meets all scheduled class sessions.
* Advises Program Coordinator of absences in a timely manner.
* Cooperates with Coordinator in developing and revising courses of study and curricula when asked.
* Incorporates an appreciation of diverse lifestyles, cultures and national perspectives into courses.
* Attends scheduled program staff meetings.
* Plans in advance to ensure availability of classroom equipment requisite to successful teaching of assigned tasks
* Adheres to professional standards of procedures.
* Adheres to College policies and procedures.
Education Requirements
Certification or license as needed and appropriate as outlined by the NJ State Department of Health-OEMS for EMT Interns.
Experience
* Demonstrated master of subject matter of discipline.
* Demonstrated ability to teach.
