Scheduled Hours 40 The Evers lab is a small, tight-knit lab (5-7 members) that works on sterol modulation of membrane proteins, with a strong focus on neurosteroid modulation of ion channels. The lab uses a variety of methods, including: (1) photoaffinity labeling and proximity labeling coupled with protein mass spectrometry; (2) fluorescent methods to study ligand binding; and (3) structural biology using cryo-electron microscopy. All of these methods rely on high level expression and purification of proteins of interest. Performs and oversees research projects or laboratory processes. Oversees other personnel and equipment.
