Role Description
This is a part-time, on-site position located in Linden, NJ, for a Core Lab Supervisor on the night shift for the weekends only. The Core Lab Supervisor will oversee laboratory operations, including supervising lab personnel and ensuring the highest quality control standards. You will perform and monitor laboratory tests, maintain laboratory equipment, and ensure compliance with all ISO and CLIA quality regulations. This role involves conducting analyses, troubleshooting, ensuring efficiency in lab workflows, and ensuring accurate and timely reporting of test results.
Qualifications
Proven Supervisory Skills and the ability to effectively manage lab personnel and workflows
Medical Technology expertise, including proficiency in diagnostic procedures and protocols for diverse medical tests
Strong Quality Control knowledge for adhering to regulatory standards and maintaining precise laboratory processes

JOB DUTIES
* MLT Student Support Specialist will work closely with the MLT faculty to support students in the instructional setting.
* Responsible for lab session preparation, implementing lab simulations, and providing services that contribute to student learning and student retention.

* Work with MLT Faculty to setup each MLT course's hands-on lab exercises.

The Executive Director for the Medical Laboratory Technician program is responsible for developing the inaugural program. The Executive Director is responsible for all aspects of the medical laboratory technician program and future programs as they pertain to the entry level programs on both the Gloucester and Cumberland campuses. The Executive Director is responsible for development, implementation, and evaluation of contemporary curricula, as well as coordination of contemporary resources for student instruction. In addition to maintaining professional standards as identified in the NAACLS accreditation criteria, the Executive Director will serve the College and the Division with service in committees and recruitment activities. In the development phase of the inaugural curriculum, the position requires a 35 hours per week on campus commitment.
Due to the nature of Medical Laboratory Technician program development and accreditation requirements, once students are enrolled, teaching will comprise 50% of the 35-hour work week. Administration of the program, including curriculum coordination and course schedules, will comprise the remaining 50% of the 35-hour work week.
* Initiates and encourages the cooperation and supervision of staff and instructors in program assessment, long range planning, program activities, admission and marketing initiatives, and participation in College-wide endeavors.

· Comply with all laboratory policies and OSHA, CAP, CLIA, and additional state regulations related to safety, cleanliness and infection control.
· Assist Lab Management as needed.
· Perform all other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
· Bachelor degree in Biological, Chemical, Physical science or equivalent
· One-year clinical laboratory experience preferred
Certification and Licensure:
· ASCP, AMT certification or NYS license preferred
Work Environment:
· Environmentally controlled clinical laboratory environment
· Fast paced environment with occasional high pressure or emergent situations
· Frequent exposure to bodily fluids
· Possible exposure to infectious specimens, communicable diseases, hazardous and toxic substances, and other conditions common to a laboratory environment
· Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as gloves or a faceshield
· Frequent interaction with a diverse population including team members, providers, patients, regulatory and accrediting agencies, and other members of the public
Physical Demands:
· Frequent standing, walking, grasping, carrying and speaking
· Occasional sitting, reaching, bending and stooping
· Lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling up to 50 pounds, with assistance if needed
