The Medical Office Assistant is also responsible for collecting co-pays, ensuring completion of physician referrals, verifying insurance eligibility and benefits, obtaining authorizations for office procedures, medications, and diagnostic imaging. Clinical duties include, but are not limited to, triaging patients, collecting medical information, recording vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, and weight), and assisting providers during procedures.
