The Health Information Management Department (MedicalRecords) is a service oriented department whose goal is to accurately and legally maintain the medicalrecords of patients seen/treated at OSU Medical Center. This includes all inpatient, outpatient and emergency records. Lead and manage the following areas: Scanning, Analyzing, Release of Information, Transcription, Coding and Clinical Documentation Improvement within regulatory standards and guidelines.
The Manager monitors and manages the HIM department in such a way as to carry out its mission in a manner harmonious with the goals of the hospital. The Manager interviews, hires, counsels and monitors day-to-day activities of the HIM employees; provides support in training of new employees, monitors projects and progresses in the department. The Manager will work closely with physicians, residents, nurses and ancillary departments within the facility to ensure good customer support and service.
This position is responsible for ongoing monitoring of the HIM Department's financial dashboard metrics including Coding Days, DNFB Days and AR Days and denial management. The manager shall consistently monitor compliance with AOA, HFAP and other regulatory agencies; The Manager shall be responsible for monitoring the departmental budget, not to exceed the targeted operational budget expectations. The Manager is charged with attracting, retaining and developing quality employees who contribute constructively to the ongoing success of OSUMC. The Manager shall achieve and maintain positive working relationships with associated clinics, physicians, residents, employees, patients and patient families to ensure quality delivery and promotion of healthcare services.
Education: 4/year Bachelor's
License/Certification: RHIA or RHIT
Experience: Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience in an acute care facility, excellent communication skills, experience in EPIC, and experience with change management.

Qualifications
Successful completion of an approved/accredited pharmacy technician training program; IV certification preferred

One to three (1-3) years of related pharmacy experience in a home care setting, retail, or pharmacy setting
General knowledge of drug terminology, pharmaceutical calculations, drug use and aseptic techniques

About us: Tulsa Center for Behavioral Health (TCBH) provides a supportive, safe and welcoming environment in which an array of integrated therapeutic interventions promotes an improved quality of life for consumers and the community. TCBH serves individuals eighteen years of age or older who present in a mental health crisis with or without substance abuse and are determined medically stable.
We will transition soon into our new 140,000 square foot, 106-bed hospital, slated for completion in 2026. Answers inquiries from patients, families, physicians and other healthcare professionals. Escalates to a clinician as needed
Maintains thorough and appropriate documentation in the customer/patient record of all clinical activities and communication with patients, physicians and other healthcare professionals
Coordinates and schedules the preparation of IV therapies and home medical equipment orders with the assistance of the Pharmacist
Helps coordinate patient care activities with Pharmacists, Nurses, other Technicians and Patient Care Coordinators
Prepares labels, prescriptions and compounding/mixing worksheets and completes and maintains product lot numbers, expiration dates and batch records
Generates delivery/pick slips under the supervision of the Pharmacist. Picks and pulls supplies and home medical equipment
Obtains supply inventories from patients/clients and communicates information obtained to the Pharmacist as required and documents all communication in patient progress notes on the pharmacy computer system
Participates in branch management, department and intra-departmental meetings and quality improvement activities
Adheres to all accreditation, OSHA, FDA, state, local and federal regulations and standards relevant to infusion pharmacy and home medical equipment

Qualifications
Successful completion of an approved/accredited pharmacy technician training program; IV certification preferred
Registered Pharmacy Technician license in state of practice per state regulations
National Pharmacy Technician Certification as required by the state board of pharmacy in state of practice
One to three (1-3) years of related pharmacy experience in a home care setting, retail, or pharmacy setting
General knowledge of drug terminology, pharmaceutical calculations, drug use and aseptic techniques
Flexible schedule with the ability to work on-call evenings and weekends on an as-scheduled basis
Effective mathematical and communication skills required
Basic pharmacy knowledge of reading and interpreting prescriptions
Ability to work independently, accurately, and efficiently
Valid driver's license, preferred

**To perform this role will require constant sitting and typing on a keyboard with fingers, and occasional standing, and walking. The physical requirements will be the ability to push/pull and lift/carry 10-30 lbs**
