Position Summary: The Neighborhood Secretary performs clerical and receptionist activities within a neighborhood under the direction and supervision of the Neighborhood Administrator. Provides excellent customer services to elders, family, visitors and employees and responds to their needs in a timely and professional manner. Responsibilities include: On the neighborhood, assemble elders' records, keep in order, update and thin charts appropriately. Send discharge records to medical. Prepare and/or distribute various data lists and documents for entire neighborhood. Prepare requisitions for diagnostic tests, notify appropriate persons for entire neighborhood. Receive visitors and personnel to the neighborhood in a customer-oriented manner. Make appointments for elders including transportation arrangements when needed, assemble information for appointments, transfer and discharge elders if assigned to do so by the Neighborhood Administrator. Maintains records of staff in-service attendance if assigned to do so by the Neighborhood Administrator. Assume responsibility for attending in-service programs that are provided to facilitate compliance with government regulations. Transport elders to appointments as needed.
