Summary
* This position plays a crucial role in supporting the Pathology Department by managing a variety of administrative and clerical tasks. Responsibilities include handling telephone inquiries for Pathologists, addressing customer questions, and ensuring excellent service while adhering to HIPAA standards. Duties

* Assists with Histology & Cytology process as necessary to complete patient reports in preparation for specimens sent out for additional testing.
* Assists with ordering additional testing and preparation of specimens for send-out at request of attending Pathologist or Physician for additional molecular testing. This includes checking the patient's insurance for workflow appropriateness as well as delivering packaged material to distribution within established time frame. Prepares send out requests (pulling slides and preparing reports) for outside consultations as requested by the Physician and/or patient. Tracks Pathology specimens that are referred to other labs for timely completion.
* Maintains pathology files for reports, quality assurance, consultation, etc. Pulls slides & corresponding reports in preparation for respective Pathologist to discuss at breast/general conference and lung conference as requested.
* Schedules Pathology Department meetings and distributes appropriate agenda and meeting minutes. Attends the Pathology Department meetings and transcribes minutes.
* Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
* High school Diploma, GED or HiSET equivalent is required. Completion of coursework in medical terminology, anatomy and physiology and disease processes is preferred.

International Health and Medical Services is looking for an experienced MedicalRecords Technician to accurately manage and maintain patient health records, ensuring that all documentation is complete, organized, and compliant with legal and regulatory requirements. This role involves coding medical information for billing purposes, facilitating access to medicalrecords for healthcare providers, and protecting patient confidentiality.
Prepare, update, and maintain a medicalrecord for each patient ensuring accuracy of information.
Maintain appointment system for patients and clinical staff.
Track compliance with internally scheduled patient appointments, making timely reminder notices to staff prior to each appointment.
File, scan laboratory, radiology, and other reports in appropriate sections of the electronic medicalrecord within prescribed timeline.

Basic Requirements/Certifications:

Overview
The Facility Coder Outpatient Educator is directly responsible for establishing and monitoring day to day processes of electronic hospital charge capture and charge reconciliation and serves as a liaison for CMH clinical departments and acts as a resource to Revenue Integrity, Revenue Cycle and external customers. What does a Patient Service Representative do?
As a patient service representative, you will perform front office duties, focusing on customer service and billing accuracy and efficiency.
What does a typical day on the job look like?
* Completes patient registration and eligibility verification accurately and in a timely manner.
* Demonstrates positive customer service attitude in person and on the telephone.
* Informs patients of their co-pay/deductible responsibility, collects co-payments and patient balances and records payments accurately. Checks patients out and assists patients with scheduling follow up appointments. Coordinates receipt and transfer of patient medicalrecords in a HIPAA-compliant manner.
* Schedules appointments efficiently to meet provider and patient expectations. Searches for patients using two patient identifiers to reduce errors and to avoid creating duplicate accounts.
* Demonstrates positive customer service attitude in person and on the telephone.
* Demonstrates professionalism by articulating and demonstrating professional behavior, accepting responsibility and accountability for actions, adhering to policies and procedures, demonstrating leadership supporting NKC Health initiatives.
What are the requirements for the job?
* High School diploma or GED equivalent
* Two years of experience in a physician's office or healthcare setting
* Customer service skills
* Basic office skills
* CPT and diagnosis coding experience is a plus
