The Federal Reserve System, with its Supervision and Regulation function, is at the forefront of overseeing the nation's largest and most complex financial institutions. Contributing to Supervision and Regulation's mission to promote a safe, sound, and efficient banking and financial system that supports the growth and stability of the U.S. economy is a unique opportunity that requires highly analytical and quantitative individuals.
We are seeking such individuals to join the Quantitative Fellowship Program (QFP) and perform in-depth and rigorous assessments of the major risks to which banks and other financial entities are exposed. The QFP provides an opportunity to work in an intellectually stimulating and collaborative environment, to engage in meaningful public service, and to interact with senior experts in both the Federal Reserve System and the firms we oversee. The QFP will provide extensive development opportunities to prepare fellows for a successful career in the Federal Reserve System upon completion of the program.
The QFP is a two-year rotational program designed to develop candidates with strong analytical skills into full-time quantitative analysts within the Federal Reserve System. Fellows will have the opportunity to work on-site at multiple Reserve Banks across the Federal Reserve System, including the Board of Governors location in Washington, D.C. They will interact directly with financial institutions, gain valuable cross-firm perspective on modeling challenges, and be involved in helping senior Federal Reserve officials make informed decisions.
The QFP includes a significant training and professional development component. The program provides experience in a variety of quantitative topics such as stress test modeling, analyzing financial institution portfolios, and model risk management and validation. Program participants who successfully complete the two-year rotation will have the potential to be placed in a full-time quantitative role within the Federal Reserve System.
Required Qualifications:
The QFP is seeking a combination of strong quantitative skills, strategic and creative thinking, excellent communication skills, and the ability to quickly adapt to new and changing regulatory and financial industry environments.
* A graduate degree in a quantitative discipline such as economics, engineering, mathematics, quantitative finance, statistics, or data science
* An excellent academic record
* Experience programming in languages such as Matlab, Python, R, SAS, or Stata
* Ability to manage and analyze large data sets
* Experience in developing or validating mathematical or statistical models
* Ability to present technical issues to nontechnical audiences and to clearly articulate findings verbally and in writing
* Willingness to travel throughout the duration of the program

Job Overview
A full-time Postdoctoral Fellow position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Czyzyk-Krzeska in the Department of Cancer Biology and the University of Cincinnati Cancer Center, located in the Vontz Center for Molecular Studies. Dr. Czyzyk-Krzeska is a physician-scientist internationally recognized for work on clear cell renal cell carcinoma (cc RCC), and the laboratory integrates state-of-the-art molecular biology, cell-based and animal models, and advanced systems-biology multiomics approaches to investigate mechanisms of cc RCC progression and to develop prognostic and predictive biomarkers. A major research focus centers on cancer metabolism and the role of metals-particularly trace element copper-in regulating tumor cell metabolism and behavior (Cancer Discovery, 2025, PMID: 40667137). The research environment is highly collaborative and includes faculty, postdoctoral fellows, graduate students, and external collaborators across molecular biology, biochemistry, bioinformatics, chemistry, and medical oncology.
This multidisciplinary setting provides outstanding opportunities for high-quality training, access to cutting-edge technologies, and strong individualized mentoring toward scientific independence. The Position
We invite applications for a postdoctoral research fellow with prior experience in high-temperature and pressure energy systems (e.g., supercritical CO2 [sCO2]), experimentation or modeling of supercritical fluids, thermomechanical design, and/or experimentation or modeling of additively manufactured components (e.g., turbomachinery, heat exchangers). The above-mentioned engineering research specialties are at the nexus of the School of Engineering's innovative research for the common good and several regional industrial collaborators with advanced research capabilities. This post-doc-to-tenure-track fellow opportunity is an up to two-year postdoctoral research position that could transition to a tenure-track faculty position at the end of the second year, per relevant policies of the hiring unit and University of Dayton; upon demonstrated success in securing externally sponsored research; high-impact mentorship of undergraduate and graduate researchers; and development of effective, innovative teaching practices. This position is renewable annually and could begin as early as March 1, 2026.
The postdoctoral research fellow will be responsible for assisting externally-funded research programs at UD related to the thermomechanical design, manufacturing, and experimental optimization of high-temperature and pressure heat exchangers and turbomachinery. The postdoctoral research fellow will manage a research team composed of faculty collaborators, research engineers, and graduate and undergraduate research assistants. The postdoctoral research fellow will be directly mentored by faculty collaborators in growing a successful research and teaching program at UD, and will be provided with an initial research space to expand existing capabilities and support a future tenure-track career. This includes direct support for project and laboratory management, proposal writing, and teaching support. The Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (MAE) Department offers Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctoral Degree programs in Mechanical Engineering.
