The specific base salary offered to a successful applicant will be based on individual qualifications, skills, experience, and education. Part Time Contract Role | Products Researcher in Mason OH 4 months contract with possible extension 20-25 hours/week Floss PR Research Specialists to focus on consumer understanding and method development for floss products. In this role you will translate consumer insights into consumer relevant methods that can be used to test current and new products with a goal of measuring product performance across a number of measures. You will also be responsible for product score carding, demo development and, to a lesser extent, creating and executing small-scale consumer studies if needed to validate methods.

In this position you will, create new methods that are consumer relevant and focused on the most critical product parameters for both manual floss and floss picks. You will test new technologies and score card performance to inform both product development and method refinement. You will refine methods in partnership with PR, Sensory, Analytical, and Process & Formulation.
The ideal candidate will be an analytical thinker, capable of bridging the gap between consumer insights and technical method development in the floss product category. Method Development and Innovation -Develop and optimize methods for floss that are grounded in consumer insights and focuses first on performance (cleaning, comfort), usability (dispensing, feel in hand, etc.) and other benefits of interest (i.E. Flavor). Candidate should have some experience in method development.
Support technology development by independently conducting technical testing and when needed, create minimum viable prototypes (MVPs) to vet hypothesis. This work involves using creativity and problem-solving skills to assess product performance, facilitating rapid iterative testing, and evaluating key product attributes to determine the effectiveness of technologies, all while producing reliable and reproducible results that meet project objectives.
Consumer Insights -Ability to analyze consumer behaviors and identify drivers that should be included in methods. Ability to design and execute qualitative and/or quantitative tests to gather the needed insights to inform product development. Ability to analyze and interpret data using statistics.
Demo Development -Experience creating engaging demos that effectively communicate product benefits and features to stakeholders, consumers, etc. Is not a requirement but will be learned on the job if the candidate does not yet have this skill.
Timing: Next 1-3 months ideal, includes timing for identification and transition. The team is currently stretched across all initiative and capability with no capacity for this type of effort.
