We are currently seeking a
Drug Discovery Sales Representative
who will be responsible for the sales activities associated with the Drug Discovery Cellular Imaging and Screening product platform (High Content Cellular Imaging, High Throughput Screening, Reagents and Service) in the Pacific Northwest territory. As a member of the Sales organization, this role is responsible for building and maintaining strong customer relationships directed toward growing Molecular Devices' market share, revenue and profitability year over year in the following target market segments: life sciences, biotech, pharma, academic research labs, contract labs, government installations, and some clinical labs.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Achieve North America revenue goals and targets for the Drug Discovery Cellular Imaging and Screening product platform in the assigned territory
Maintain an accurate and up-to-date customer database in Salesforce.com
Generate accurate monthly forecasting for the assigned territory
Perform lead generation activities including but not limited to eblasts, seminars, work days with business partners
Attend and participate in regional and local product shows as a brand ambassador for Molecular Devices
The essential requirements of the job include:
Bachelor's Degree or higher in a related Life Sciences discipline.
3 plus years of field sales experience selling into the life sciences.
Knowledge of Cellular Imaging/ Microscopy technology is the ideal candidate we need for this role.
Track record of successful Capital Equipment sales/customer-facing experience.
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:
Must be willing to travel up to 40% under certain circumstances
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Knowledge of Cellular imaging technology
Experience with Microsoft applications, Salesforce.com, CRM Database

The salary range is
$110,000.00 to $126,000.00.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.

Otsuka's Clinical and Scientific Specialists (CSS) will provide deep clinical expertise on-demand and will engage healthcare providers to offer personalized education on disease state, thought leadership and real-world evidence.

The Health Science Advisor will report directly to the respective Ecosystem Lead, coordinating with cross-functional colleagues in Medical (CSSs), Market Access (HSAMs), and Patient Support (PELs) under appropriate guardrails. This individual will serve as the main point of contact/connection to healthcare provider (HCP) customers and should have a wide breadth of expertise, (e.g. able to address complex on-label information based on approved content).
Conducts proactive outreach to HCPs on topics such as:
Product access: local market payor coverage and co-pay, prior authorization, formulary placement, and availability expectations
On-Label/Consistent-with-label Info: proactively share information that is on or consistent with the label, including confidently and skillfully handling complex on-label information consistent with approved materials
Established guidance on patient care: example system protocols, standard of care guidelines, discharge protocols, and published expert opinions (or share menu of options and direct accordingly)
Ability to appropriately connect providers in real time to on-demand CSSs as questions arise
Customer engagement: Personally engage customers through a variety of virtual or digital tools and can direct customers to other colleagues (e.g., CSS) on demand; closes the loop on customer requests, ensuring that they have been met and asking for feedback on quality of engagement
Thought leadership: Facilitate speaker programs; organize local provider groups for discussions on experiences and outcomes with local/regional leaders

Minimum Qualifications
A minimum of 2 years pharmaceutical or medical device sales experience
Must reside within commutable distance of 50 miles of the primary city in the sales territory

Previous cross-functional industry experience in commercial life sciences (pharma or biotechnology) or related industry engaging with key healthcare ecosystem players (e.g., payers, health systems)
4 or more years' experience working in a sales role with HCPs, ideally representing multiple products and working across a complex healthcare system environment
Clinical nurse or Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) experience highly valued

Requirements:
Outside sales experience; preferably in the sports industry and specifically working with schools and/or in the recreation industry.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sports Management, or related discipline preferred; equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Proven track record of successful sales experience. Candidate must be able to sell features, benefits and values while negotiating price without compromising the integrity of the product.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate effectively in front of large groups of people.
Ability to develop relationships with potential customers, including schools, colleges, parks and recreation, etc.
Strong time management and organization skills.
Ability to work remotely and independently while maintaining the highest level of productivity.
Ability to travel a minimum of two days weekly with some overnight travel, as well as work evenings and weekends for presentations, attend trade shows and scheduled meetings.
Desired computer skills to include Microsoft Outlook, web navigation, and CRM, preferably with Salesforce.
