Our client is hiring Medical Schedulers with 2+ yrs of experience.
On site- Columbia, MD
M-F 8am-5pm
Primary Duties/Responsibilities Include but is not Limited to:
1. Direct patient registration, patient insurance, billing and collections to ensure accurate patient billing and efficient account collection.
2. Broad knowledge of front office practices and procedures, including the Company's Electronic Medical Records system (EMR).
3. Broad understanding of insurance practices and procedures.
4. Assist with billing related issues.
5. Ensure compliance with regulations and standards of performance for quality care.
6. Answer telephones and assist with patient check-in/check-out, as needed.
7. Direct patient requests or questions to the appropriate provider.
8. Schedule appointments.

Job Title: Surgical Scheduling Operator MONDAY-FRIDAY from 8am-4pm
Department: Orthopedics
General Summary: A nonexempt position responsible for answering phones, directing
telephone calls, monitoring voicemail boxes, and assisting callers with questions
involving scheduled surgical procedures.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
• Adhere to HIPAA Guidelines at all times.
• Manage inbound calls to ensure effective and timely resolution of patient
issues.
• Verify and/or obtain patient demographic information.
• Build a great rapport with patients by possessing a positive warm and
friendly attitude and every call.
• Listen, probe, and ask open-ended questions to get results.
• Efficiently answer patient inquiries by providing general information, and
routing calls to surgical coordinators as is needed to resolve patient issues.
• Document all accounts, update patient demographics, and create medical
records as required.
• Regularly monitor the surgical scheduling voicemail and return patient calls
as is appropriate.
• Monitor individual surgical scheduling voicemails as instructed by supervisor
or surgical scheduling leads.
• Must maintain a high level of professionalism and quality customer service at
all times.
• Operate computer and IT equipment such as switchboards, headset etc.
• Escalate complex issues to surgical scheduling leadership for proper
resolution
• Communicates as needed with physicians/clinicians and other staff about any
