POSITION SUMMARY
To provide quality school social work services for the district.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide quality educational based counseling services, as established by Child Study Teams, which may include individual counseling, group counseling, family counseling, monitoring of behavioral programs, and coordination of service of other agencies.
If assigned, provide regular education students individual crisis counseling and developmental counseling and assist students to overcome problems that impede learning and assist them in making sound educational choices.
Design appropriate goals, objectives and timelines for appropriate school related social work services for eligible students.
Maintain accurate records and logs pertaining to services provided to students, parents, and school staff members.
Monitor and document student progress and communicate progress with appropriate students, staff, parents, and other members of the school based team(s).
Complete and submit in a professional and timely manner appropriate functional behavioral analysis, behavioral assessments, social histories, parent interviews, and classroom observations.
Collaborate in developing positive behavior intervention plans for students.
Assist the district in student referrals to community service agencies, which may include child protection, court issues, and mental health.
Collaborate with regular classroom teachers, other specialty teachers, and related service providers in the development of a variety of strategies to meet the educational needs of special education students.
Follow time schedules, attend and participate in all assigned meetings, and maintain a positive professional manner with students, parents, and staff.
Interact positively and appropriately with students.
Maintain confidentiality standards as defined by local, state, and federal rules and regulations.
Assist parents and students that are transitioning from one building to another with tours and contact information in their building.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (ICU Clinical Team Lead/RN)
Is able to perform treatments and provide services and education to level of licensure.

Assists in placing patients in facilities for inpatient care, working with proper officials for “hold” patients, or Designated Examiners for patients going to State Hospitals for treatment. This includes not just the clinical work but appropriate, accurate and timely sharing of information.

Qualifications
Education/Certification: Completion of graduate training at the Masters or Doctorate level in Social Work as well as licensure in their field of study at the LCSW level. Must have current BLS. LMSW and LSW will be considered but LCSW is preferred.
