The Division of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry at Cincinnati Children's Hospital is looking for a part-time clinician to provide general medical care for children and adolescents with complex psychiatric problems on weeknights at our psychiatric inpatient facility. Cincinnati Children's College Hill Campus houses six inpatient units with a 83-bed capacity and three residential units with a 30-bed capacity. We also have a 16-bed unit at the Lindner Center of Hope (LCOH) in Mason that we are on call for overnight remotely; on site coverage at LCOH is not done. This Staff Physician III opportunity is built around a 20-hour per week framework. Flexibility exists regarding distribution of those hours during the weekdays but would expect commitment to a minimum of two weekdays per week. As a bonus, there will be no weekend coverage needs. We also handle non-infectious OP infusions and blood transfusions on our floor. Average infusions/injections is between 15-20/day. This is in addition to the consultations and follow up patients. They are treated and seen in the same area. average between 20-30 consults/month. anywhere between 15-25 follow up patients/day. There are 6 exam rooms for the providers to see consultations and follow up in addition to the infusion rooms. Cancer Program accredited by the Commission of Cancer and also part of the Lung Cancers Centers of Excellence with the GO2 Foundation for our lung program. Medical Oncologist and NPs use the Meditech system for both scheduling and dictations, etc. 2 very experinced NPs in the practice. NP to take first call, then work with the Medical Oncologist on consults after hours and on weekends. 4 Patient Navigators - 1 primarily for Lung cancer, also Head & Neck cancer. Also a Certified Oncology Nurse Navigator 1 for colorectal cancer, GI/GU cancers, lymphomas 1 for Breast cancer, a part time Navigator in case the full time Navigator is out. Dedicated Social Worker and Dietician who can see our patients. Nursing staff is all trained by the Oncology Nursing Society Cancer Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy course. They are all cross trained to the care of Radiation patients since so many patients are receiving both modalities. Several of staff are OCN's. Several trained inpatient staff nurses with their ONS course should a patient need admitted for neutropenia, or oncologic emergencies. 5 cancer conferences/month (sometimes called tumor boards) - 2 breast conferences, 2 lung conferences, and one general conference. CMEs are provided for these conferences
