The Clinical Laboratory Scientist may be required to rotate in other departments work weekends and Holidays and cover other shifts as supervisor determines need.

Clinical Laboratory Scientist I- Per Diem - Shift
Definition:
Under direction, performs a variety of laboratory tests in various clinical laboratory sections and maintains records of examinations and findings.
Distinguishing Characteristics:
This is the entry level classification in the Clinical Laboratory Scientist series. Work is performed in accordance with established procedures and is reviewed by a supervisor. Promotions to Clinical Laboratory Scientist II are considered on a merit basis, subject to recommendation of the department head and approval by the Director of Personnel.
Essential Functions:
Performs a variety of laboratory tests and procedures with various types of specimens using specified laboratory techniques and methods.
Performs daily quality control functions and applies professional knowledge and judgement to routine and special procedures.
Operates various automate laboratory instruments and equipment.
Maintains records of examinations and findings; inputs and maintains clinical laboratory data utilizing computer hardware and applicable software.
Maintains effective professional work relationships with laboratory staff, other hospital departments and those contacted in the performance of required duties.

Employment Standards:
Possession of a valid license to practice as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist in the State of California.

Principles, methods and techniques of laboratory work; current computer software applicable to maintaining clinical laboratory data.

> Assay Laboratory Technician Assay Laboratory Technician Description **Who We Are** Golden Queen Mining Co., LLC (the “Company”) operates a gold and silver, open pit, heap leach operation on its Soledad Mountain property, located just outside the town of Mojave in Kern County in southern California. The Project uses conventional open pit mining methods and the cyanide heap leach and Merrill-Crowe processes to recover gold and silver from crushed, agglomerated ore.

This is a safety sensitive position. As an Assay Laboratory Technician, you would report to the Assay Laboratory Supervisor.
**What You Do**
* Perform the day-to-day operations of activities in the sample prep laboratory, including sample receiving, drying of samples, splitting samples, pulverizing samples, and weighing samples.
* Perform size fraction analysis.
* Perform daily work assignments to support testing of samples from mining, crushing, screening, and processing.
* Assists in quality assurance and quality control to ensure reliable, consistent, and reproducible results from the sample prep lab.
* Perform minor equipment repairs as needed.
* Assists in Fire Assay when needed.
* Assists with training of new Assay Laboratory Technicians.
* Participate in assay laboratory safety meetings.
* Offer ideas and suggestions for continuous improvement of assay laboratory operations.
* Other duties as assigned.
