Schedule and conduct immunological (ELISA) and biochemical tests on products and components following SOPs, Outlines of Production, GLPs, and cGMPs.
Assisting with assay development programs
Transfer assays for new products into the immunology control lab

Accept primary responsibility for conducting, documenting, and defending individually assigned tests.

Job Summary and Responsibilities
** Up to $5,000 New Hire Sign-on bonus & up to $10,000 Student Loan Forgiveness**
Analyzing lab testing is pretty complex. We depend on the knowledge and skills of our medicaltechnologists when it comes to evaluating medical lab tests to determine what's happening with our patients. They are vital to the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases, accurately analyzing and reporting all lab tests according to procedures and regulatory guidelines. What you'll do:
Appropriately perform and report waived a variety of moderately and highly complex test procedures
Provide excellent patient care throughout the laboratory process within established turnaround times
Assist in upkeep and maintenance of major automated equipment
Perform proficiency testing as assigned, participating in opportunities for continued education or training
Complete all work and resolve or escalate issues as needed
Adhere to all regulatory requirements
Other duties as assigned
May consider MLT qualified candidates for similar position
Job Requirements
What you'll need:
Bachelor's degree in Medical Lab Science or Medical Technology, or related field defined by CLIA
Preferred: Certified as a Medical Laboratory Scientist or MedicalTechnologist by ASCP
Appropriately trained in clinical lab science
Position may be filled as MLT Med Lab Tech for qualified applicants

Qualifications
Qualifications:
Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or equivalent from an accredited program
Completion of a NAACLS-accredited MLT program
Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (ASCP, AMT, or equivalent)
Current state licensure, if applicable
Preferred:
One year of clinical laboratory experience in a hospital or outpatient lab
Familiarity with CLIA regulations and CAP accreditation standards

2. *Under the supervision of a Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendment (CLIA)-designated General Supervisor (Medical Laboratory Scientist), performs laboratory testing according to laboratory standards, policies and procedures in a timely thorough manner.
3. *Analyzes test results and enters data into the computer using laboratory standards, policies, and procedures.
4. *Performs and analyzes quality control measures to ensure accurate clinical data. Analyzes unacceptable quality control results and troubleshoots shifts or trends as necessary.
5. *Maintains competency and proficiency on all laboratory instrumentation and procedures; performs and documents preventive maintenance on laboratory instruments and equipment, troubleshooting problems as necessary. Notifies immediate supervisory personnel of equipment/instrument issues and calls Service regarding issues.
6. *Communicates with coworkers, clients and leadership by transmitting patient cart testing and results, appropriate ideas, information and opinions clearly, concisely and courteously; maintains employee, patient, client and corporate confidentiality.
7. *Performs general housekeeping tasks to maintain safe work environment; maintains adequate supplies in the work area.
8. *Works collaboratively with all laboratory staff to ensure completion of testing and communication of necessary information to assist testing completion.
9. Uses quality improvement processes, programs or outcomes to help improve department operations; assists with LEAN projects.
10. Performs service excellence must-haves to achieve an excellent patient/customer experience.
11. Maintains professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations to keep abreast of latest trends in field of expertise.
12. Participates in meetings, committees and department projects as assigned.

9. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of personnel and medical staff.

MLT EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Prior experience as a Specimen Processing Technician II required. Bachelor's degree or above in a chemical, physical or biological science meeting American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) criteria for Medical Laboratory Technician certification or Technologist in Blood Bank, Microbiology, Hematology or Chemistry certification required.
MLS EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology, Medical Laboratory Science which includes clinical rotation as part of the program or Bachelors in Science in a related field and an additional year of MT/MLS clinical rotation required or meets the requirements for and is eligible for or has acquired the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) certification as an MLS or Technologist in Blood Bank, Chemistry, Hematology or Microbiology as outlined on the ASCP website. AMT and ISCLT or equivalent are acceptable.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
(Physical Requirements are based on federal criteria and assigned by Human Resources upon review of the Principal Job Functions.)
(DOT) - Characterized as medium work requiring exertion of 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or a greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
