Responsibilities + Perform and report test results for all clinical laboratory procedures, both automated and manual, without immediate review by supervisory staff. + Demonstrate proficiency and understanding of fundamental principles of clinical laboratory procedures with minimal supervision. + Monitor and ensure accountability for test data, quality control, quality assurance, preventive maintenance, proficiency testing, and all laboratory testing operations. + Notify the supervisory team of any irregularities or factors that may influence test results. + Troubleshoot equipment and test methods as needed. + Monitor supplies and reagents, notifying appropriate parties of par levels. + Perform clerical duties or support tasks, such as phlebotomy on inpatients and outpatients, as necessary. Essential Skills + Proficiency in phlebotomy, specimen processing, and CLIA-compliant testing. + Generalist License. + Experience with both automated and manual testing procedures. Additional Skills & Qualifications + California Clinical Laboratory Scientist License, ideally a Generalist license. + High School Education or GED required. Work Environment The position requires availability for 12-hour shifts, either AM or PM, with schedules running from 7am-7pm or 7pm-7am.
