We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Technologist to join our hospital's medical laboratory team. The ideal candidate will possess a New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist License or a valid permit issued by the NYSDOE Clinical Laboratory to Technology. ASCP certification is preferred but not required, provided the candidate holds a full New York State MLT license. Responsibilities * Perform qualitative and quantitative analysis on all specimens received in the laboratory for the assigned station. * Understand the principles of tests performed and possess working knowledge of the equipment used in the assigned station. * Ensure that all specimens are stored appropriately. * Follow all quality control policies and procedures to ensure reliable patient results. * Recognize critical or life-threatening results, verify them, and report to the appropriate clinician. * Document all results in the Laboratory Information System (LIS).
