This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. Major duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
* Reviews and verifies Blood Bank test results, including off-hour and weekend work, ensuring compliance with CAP, CLIA, AABB, FDA, and Joint Commission standards.
* Directs and advises Blood Bank staff in correcting errors and notifies attending providers as appropriate.
* Assists the Supervisory CLS and Blood Bank Director in developing and executing the laboratory Quality Management Plan.
* Manages and disseminates directives, regulations, and inspection reports from FDA and accrediting agencies.
* Develops, implements, and evaluates quality control (QC) and proficiency testing programs; monitors corrective actions for identified deficiencies.
* Writes, updates, and maintains Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and other laboratory documentation to meet regulatory standards.
* Analyzes data and prepares reports on proficiency testing, audit results, adverse events, and corrective actions.
* Serves as a member of the Blood Utilization Review Committee, monitoring transfusion practices, adverse reactions, and utilization statistics.
* Generates and presents monthly transfusion and quality assurance reports to Medical Center leadership.
* Plans, coordinates, and conducts training programs for residents, new employees, and existing staff in accordance with quality requirements.
* Provides technical consultation and training to nursing and clinical staff regarding Blood Bank procedures and policies.
* Validates and implements changes to the Blood Bank computer package and provides technical oversight of computer data entry and LMIP reporting.
* Provides advanced technical guidance and troubleshooting for antibody identification, transfusion reaction workups, and instrument performance issues.
* Maintains appropriate inventory and supply levels, including procurement of blood and blood components per established contracts.
* Performs complex and specialized blood bank testing using manual and automated methods; validates results and correlates findings with clinical data.
* Ensures accuracy and validity of results through quality control and assurance programs; identifies and resolves instrument or assay problems.
* Adheres to biosafety and biosecurity regulations; maintains a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
* Participates in process improvement and performance improvement initiatives to enhance laboratory operations and service quality.
* Provides training and mentorship to students, technologists, and other laboratory personnel; may serve as acting supervisor in the absence of the Supervisory CLS.
* Maintains professional competency through continuing education, seminars, and certification requirements.
* Applies knowledge of laboratory regulatory, licensing, and accrediting standards to maintain compliance in all aspects of Blood Bank operations.
* Other limited duties included would be:
* Performing tasks in the Clinical Testing Unit (CTU) on an irregular basis:

Key Responsibilities
Assist with laboratory operations, audits, compliance checks, and reporting, including sample collection and handling.
Assist with patient check-in and check-out processes.
Manage and maintain cryogenic storage equipment, including handling and inventorying cryopreserved specimens (sperm, oocytes, embryos).
Coordinate transportation of cryopreserved specimens with third-party vendors while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Maintain accurate patient records in the electronic medical record (EMR) system and process medical record requests.
Act as a primary point of contact between the laboratory, physicians, and nursing teams for lab-related coordination.
Organize and manage laboratory paperwork, supply inventory, and administrative documentation as well as data submission.
Assist with additional projects and administrative duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
Education: Highschool degree required. Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, or a related science field is preferred.
Experience: 6+ months of laboratory experience outside of coursework is a plus.

Perform routine daily and/or weekly verification(s) and/or calibration(s) on equipment and instrumentation following method quality requirements. Some methods will require a minimum Level 3 or 4 based on complexity and quality risk level.
Perform analysis on samples through direct testing (i.e. wet chemistry). The minimum level required to perform some methods will vary depending on complexity of the method, safety risk level, and quality risk level.
Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and/or instrumentation as required by the method. The minimum level required to perform preventative maintenance on some equipment and/or instrumentation will vary depending on the complexity of the task, safety risk level and quality risk level.
Perform calculations as required when conducting analytical preparations.
Perform sample preparation for multiple testing requirements.
Perform housekeeping duties as required. This includes assisting with storage and disposal of client samples.
Monitor inventory levels for supplies and reagents required for test methods.
Prepare and maintain standards and reagents. Some standards will require a minimum Level 2 depending on the complexity and quality risk.
Generate, accumulate, handle, work near, transport, and dispose of hazardous wastes.
Collect, store, and label any hazardous waste generated in compliance with the ALS policy.
Contribute to sample receival process including opening packages, sorting mail and data entry.
Participate in shift hand overs to ensure smooth transition.
Identify continuous improvement activities for the site.

Required Qualifications:
High school diploma/GED is required..
Laboratory experience is preferred.
Physical Demands:
The ability to stand for intervals of up to 8 hours while working.
Able to speak and hear clearly while communicating with co-workers and managers.
Dexterity in hands and fingers to operate equipment and handle glassware.
Must have average vision and able to see to read reports and operate equipment.
Hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone.

Position Description:
• Maintains proficiency in and follows documented analytical procedures and program to provide QC testing in the Grain Inspection Laboratory.
• Follows all Laboratory and Company rules/guidelines, including Safety, GMP, and Personnel policies.
• Communicates any unusual problems or developments relative to product quality to the QC Lead Technician or Site Supervisor.
• Answer internal phone calls regarding product concerns.
• Meet deadlines.
• Perform duties related to the Grain Inspection Laboratory as required or directed by the Site Supervisor or Team Leader
• Identifies and reports problems with equipment or procedures to shift leaders, and assists in regular maintenance of equipment.
• Read and understand all procedures that pertain to testing being performed.
Three positions available:
Saturday and Sunday 12:30pm to 11:00pm for the part time position for 20 hours each week
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Sunday from 6:30am to 5:00pm for 40 hours each week
Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 6:30am to 7:00pm for 30 hours each week
Pay: $14.50 per hour

Position Overview
The Cath Lab Tech may assist in NCDR registry reporting, quality initiatives and other compliance requirements for cath labs with ODH. The Cath Lab Tech will assist in diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures, perform emergency procedures associated with cardiovascular procedures such as Intra-Aortic Balloon pump/Impella and temporary pacemaker insertion. Follow established standards of practice under the direction of a credentialed invasive radiologist, cardiologist or cardiothoracic/vascular surgeon. Participates in patient and family teaching. Maintains role as patient advocate with a focus on the facilities mission.
Qualifications
Required:
BLS certification or obtained within thirty (30) days of hire.
ACLS certification or obtained within six (6) months of hire.
Current licensure (as applicable).
Preferred:
Minimum of an associate degree.
RCIS certification preferred.
Previous experience in Cardiovascular Catheterization Lab.
Previous experience with GE MAC Lab and Innova.

What does a Med Tech at Sagora do?
Administer and accurately record administration of medications as prescribed by a resident's physician(s) in accordance with company policy and applicable state and federal guidelines under supervision of a nurse
Obtain, record, and report resident vital signs
Manage supply of medications
