Principal Accountabilities
* Establish the medical cost strategy for medium and high valued cost initiatives using in depth internal and external information to enable executive decision making.
* Lead the high valued initiatives from business case development and stakeholder agreement through stabilization and ongoing ROI monitoring phases cross functionally.
* Lead financial business case development for new high value initiatives along with ongoing performance assessment of current initiatives.
* Direct opportunity analyses aimed at driving strategic revenue targets, innovating in the clinical care space, supporting initiatives to lead process efficiencies, and to determine the best course of action for a medical cost reduction strategy.
* Support vendor assessments to determine the true value of a proposed solution.
* Lead projects to completion through effective process mapping and collaboration with financial projections and analysis.
* Develop clear, articulate, actionable business cases targeted towards executive audiences, post implementation stabilization monitoring strategy, ROI monitoring strategy.
* Prepare executive level materials for presentations to enterprise leaders and decision makers.
* Provide the clinical leadership team with definition of program-level strategy to achieve medical cost savings targets.
* Provide concept and tactical knowledge and support to the assigned implementation managers through implementation and organizational readiness.
* Ensure appropriate principles of change management are in use, along with performance metrics and dialogs/committees.
* Ensure that appropriate corrective actions plans are deployed, including monitoring/measuring effectiveness.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree
* MBA / MHA preferred
* 10 - 12+ years of relevant, professional experience
* 8+ years' experience in a managed healthcare environment
* Proven efficacy working in a highly matrixed environment to influence and drive decision making
* Management Consulting, and / or Clinical setting experience
* Ability to synthesize data and turn it into actionable insights, identifying patterns and trends, using these insights to drive specific, practical actions
* Vendor management experience and an ability to effectively evaluate, source and monitor vendors
* Ability to build and maintain relationships with staff up to and including leadership

Position Summary:
Ultragenyx is seeking a strategic and visionary physician leader to join the Global Medical Affairs team focused on LC-FAOD and triheptanoin.
Reporting to the VP Global/US Medical Affairs and Strategy, the Global Medical Lead will be an adaptable leader, willing to take a “hands on” approach and comfortable working in a fast-paced intellectual environment. Responsibilities:
Lead the Global Medical Sub Team (GMST), ensuring regional medical affairs are involved in and inform the development of global medical strategy
Develop and drive the timely execution of the Global Medical Plan for LC-FAOD and triheptanoin in the pre-launch, launch, and post-launch phases
Serve as the strategic medical leader on the Program Core Team and key sub-teams, shaping development, commercialization, and lifecycle strategies through deep scientific and clinical expertise. Work decisively to overcome challenges and drive program priorities forward
Lead advisory boards, steering committees, and investigator meetings to gather key insights that inform program strategy and activities
Lead updates to the Integrated Evidence Generation Plan (IEP), ensuring alignment with HEOR and clinical development to address global/regional evidence gaps
Lead and successfully complete global medical affairs data generation activities, including real-world evidence (RWE), investigator-sponsored trials (ISTs), and other strategic evidence initiatives
Accountable as the medical affairs lead for Disease Monitoring Programs for LC-FAOD, providing strategic medical leadership on all aspects of the study and accountable for leading data generation and publication activities aligned to the IEP
Provide deep disease area and product expertise, ensuring accurate and consistent communication of clinical and scientific data
Lead global publication strategy and congress planning activities, ensuring timely, high-impact dissemination of data and other education initiatives
Lead training and provide strategic guidance and tools toregional medical affairs teams to ensure launch readiness and consistent scientific exchange
Build and maintain relationships with global key opinion leaders, societies, and advocacy groups to inform strategy and amplify scientific reach
Accountable for the medical assessment of the competitor environment and providing direction on strategic implications
Collaborate effectively across the business e.g. clinical development, HEOR, diagnostics, scientific communications and publications, regulatory, market access, commercial, training, and patient advocacy.
Requirements:
Medical Doctor (MD, PhD strongly preferred) with Board Certification in Clinical/Biochemical Genetics
Proven expertise in the management of patients with inborn errors of metabolism, preferably mitochondrial disease
Recognized scientific authority with the ability to engage in advanced scientific and clinical discussions with both internal and external experts
Proven leadership skills including a passion for collaboration and understanding all stakeholder perspectives to drive alignment and decision-making

The typical annual salary range for this full-time position is listed below. The Medical Concierge/Technician serves a dual role, combining the expertise of a veterinary technician with the service-oriented responsibilities of a medical concierge. This position supports the clinical pathology service by evaluating sample quality and submission information to ensure diagnostic quality before pathologist review using a robotic microscope remotely. The Medical Concierge/Technician also evaluates select technician-appropriate samples, such as blood smears. Acting as a bridge between technical expertise and client service, this role ensures both exceptional laboratory quality and a streamlined, concierge-level experience for our clinics. The ideal applicant will be a certified Veterinary technician with a Veterinary Technician Specialty (VTS) in Clinical Pathology.
Key Responsibilities:
The candidate will be available for sample evaluation during their scheduled shifts, which may include evenings and weekends.
The candidate will assess the diagnostic quality of the sample slide and submission information in a timely manner (~15 minutes).
The candidate will evaluate technician appropriate sample submissions in a timely manner (~15-30 minutes).
The candidate will flag samples to be further evaluated by the on-shift clinical pathologists as needed.
Operate and maintain robotic microscopes remotely to assess sample and slide quality.
Perform quality assurance checks to ensure accuracy and consistency in slide preparation and evaluation prior to pathologist review.
Evaluate select technician-appropriate samples (e.g., blood smears) and document findings within established protocols.
Collaborate with pathologists and team members to support efficient clinical pathology workflows.
Serve as a Medical Concierge by providing clear communication, timely updates, coordinating consults, and concierge-level service to clinics as needed.
Uphold laboratory standards for accuracy, reliability, and turnaround time.
Assist in troubleshooting sample quality and assessment issues, performing and recommending corrective actions as needed.

ABOUT THE POSITION
The Biology Learning Center (BLC) serves about 3000 students annually at Normandale Community College (NCC) and is a unique learning facility that provides individualized and self-paced laboratory experiences for students. The College Laboratory Assistant 2 position exists to assist in the operation and maintenance of the BLC particularly in solution, media, and material preparation, and to provide assistance to students. Under limited supervision the incumbent performs technical work within the BLC; Prepares and sets up lab activities; assists and tutors students in carrying out laboratory experiments and assignments; oversees daily activities of the laboratory; performs related work as required.
This position reports to the Academic Operations Supervisor and works collaboratively with Biology faculty, Lab staff and student workers to actively advance the college's strategic goals, including to achieve equity in educational outcomes and to support a culturally responsive and service-oriented culture, through individual and departmental efforts.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
ESSENTIAL:
These qualifications are required to move forward; as such, (ensure your application contains descriptions of your education and work experience sufficient to demonstrate competency in each of the following):
Associate degree or higher degree in biology or related sciences AND 1 academic year of teaching/tutoring experience in biology at the high school level or above OR an equivalent combination of education and work experience.

The Emergency Services Lab Assistant supports the planning, preparation, maintenance, and safe operation of Emergency Services training labs and scenarios. Working closely with faculty and program leadership, this position ensures that instructional spaces, equipment, and materials are organized, functional, and compliant with safety standards and program objectives. The role contributes directly to high-quality, hands-on learning experiences that prepare students for success in fire service, emergency medical services, and public safety careers.
Primary Responsibilities
1.
Lab Preparation, Maintenance, & Safety
* Prepare, set up, and dismantle training props, materials, and equipment for fire, rescue, and EMS labs.
* Inspect, clean, and maintain tools, apparatus, and facilities to ensure safe and functional operation.
* Test and service oxygen systems, fire-ground props, and other pressurized or specialized training equipment following established safety procedures.
* Maintain inventory, track supplies, and report repair or replacement needs.
* Operate college vehicles and hand or power tools as required for training-site setup and material transport.

Instructional & Program Support
* Provide logistical and technical support to instructors during labs and simulations.
* Orient students to safety procedures and proper equipment use.
* Assist with demonstrations and lab resets between class sessions.
* Support outreach, recruitment, and community-training activities when scheduled.

* Education - High School Diploma or equivalent.
* Experience - One (1) year of related experience in emergency services, fire science, or equipment maintenance.

Maintain tools, equipment and the lab facility in a clean and proper working condition; perform minor maintenance and repairs and notify appropriate personnel of major maintenance and repair needs; maintain an adequate inventory of supplies and materials and reorder as needed; b. Ensure lab safety and security procedures are adhered to; c. Make recommendation for learning tools and technology; d. Supervises the development of campus course shells for designated courses; e. Assist the Dean or designee in the hiring and supervision of part-time faculty members; f. Assist the Dean or designee in developing and revising the credit course schedule to align with the campus enrollment plan.

This job primarily operates in a professional office environment. The employee will routinely operate standard office equipment including but not limited to computers, keyboards, mouse, phones, photocopiers, printers, scanners, filing cabinets and fax machines. While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
Typical physical competencies include but are not limited to frequently remaining stationary, moving, reaching, positioning self and occasionally ascending/descending, lifting/moving objects weighing between 5-15 pounds. This job also entails frequently communicating, discerning and exchanging information, detecting and perceiving objects up close, at a distance, and the ability to adjust focus.
