Additional credentials that may be considered upon approval from the Department Chair, Provost, and President are 1) Successful completion of a simulation preparation program recognized by the International Nursing Association for Clinical Simulation (or the ability to obtain the certification within 12 months of appointment to the position); 2) Attendance at annual simulation conferences; 3) Completion of educational activities annually related to simulation. Organizational Relationships The Academic Resources/Laboratory Coordinator/Sim Specialist reports to the Department Chair of Nursing. Incumbent supervises nursing and work-study students as assigned. This position interacts with faculty, staff, students, and internal/external communities of interest. Physical Requirements Must be able to sit and/or stand for prolonged periods. Must be able to handle packages up to 25#. Working Conditions Busy environment where many students and faculty are participating in nursing clinical skills and requesting assistance at the same time.
