🔬 Cytogenetic Technologist Opportunity | Day Shift | Boston $10,000 Sign-On Bonus | Hybrid Schedule We're partnering with a Boston-based academic medical center on a new opening for a Cytogenetic Technologist to join a high-volume clinical cytogenetics laboratory. Qualifications * Associates Degree or at 60 semester hours including a minimum of 6 semester hours in Biology, 6 semester hours in Chemistry and 3 years of Clinical Laboratory experience in the last 5 years under the supervision of a Medical Technologist. * Certification as an MLT from the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or comparable agency approved by the National Commission for Health Certifying agencies is required within two years of date of hire and if applicable maintain certification through ASCP or comparable approved agency. * Minimum of 5 years experience reading culture plates and clinical gram stains preferred. Job Summary The Opportunity The Medical Technologist (MT), in the role as Testing Personnel as defined by CLIA, may be delegated the responsibility of the technical oversight of the laboratory including the day-to-day oversight of the laboratory operation and personnel performing testing and reporting results. Under general supervision, the MT carries out all policies and performs all tests in accordance with the department's standard operating procedures.
