Performs standard laboratory testing for a specialty surgical hospital in order to aid in the treatment of patients and improve patient outcomes. Work is performed with a considerable degree of independence in the application of clinical laboratory knowledge and techniques, and requires judgments in monitoring test procedures, quality control, and test interpretation.
