Position Overview:
CMT's partner with our licensed nursing staff to plan, develop, organize, and carryout resident care plans. The CMT provides medication administration in addition to other duties related to activities of daily living.
Key Responsibilities:
• Medication administration
• Assisting residents with daily living activities in assisted living
• Providing resident care and reporting resident information/needs to charge nurse
• Answering resident calls and requests for assistance
• Serving food and beverages to ensure proper resident nutrition
• Assisting residents in mobility and transport activities
• Collaborating with other health care team members to enhance the provision of resident care
• Supporting resident safety and satisfaction by performing regular rounds on the nursing unit and effectively communicating with all team members while providing excellent customer service

+ Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria
+ Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures

The Laboratory Assistant is primarily responsible for performing duties related to accessioning, specimen management, problem resolution, and data entry and specimen storage with a high degree of proficiency.

Receive incoming shipments and document appropriately
Examine samples for accuracy and other requirements (sample type, volume, etc.)

The Histology Technician is responsible for embedding, staining, sectioning, and cover slipping histologic and Mohs specimens. You'll work closely with Pathologists, Dermatopathologists, and Mohs surgeons to ensure accurate, timely, and reliable slide results.
What You'll Do
* Perform embedding, sectioning, staining, and cover slipping of histologic and Mohs specimens
* Collaborate with Pathologists, Dermatopathologists, and Mohs surgeons to deliver high-quality results
* Maintain accuracy and efficiency while working independently
* Ensure compliance with laboratory protocols and quality standards
Minimum Requirements
* Associate's degree with 60 college credits (including 6 biology, 6 chemistry, and 12 science credits such as chemistry, biology, physics, or microbiology)
* 3 months of supervised training in the field
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to stand for extended periods, prioritize tasks, and problem-solve independently
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic computer skills
* Excellent organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in a science-related field
* Certification as a Histology Technician (ASCP)
* Eligibility to obtain ASMS certification within one year
* Documented laboratory training in a Mohs lab

Job Responsibilities
* Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria
* Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures
* Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality
* Demonstrate the ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving
* Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls
* Report accurate and timely test results in order to deliver quality patient care
* Perform and document preventative maintenance and quality control procedures
* Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary
* Assist with processing of specimens when needed
* Maintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate personal protective equipment
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology or meet local regulatory (CLIA & State) requirements
* Minimum 1 year of clinical laboratory testing experience is required OR a MLS degree
* ASCP or AMT certification is preferred
* Ability to work independently and within a team environment
* Proficient with computers; Familiarity with laboratory information systems is a plus
* High level of attention to detail along with strong communication and organizational skills
* Must be able to pass a standardized color vision screen
* Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts depending on business needs
