**Job Summary and Qualifications**
+ Knows, understands, and puts into practice general lab policies/procedures as well as department/sectionspecific policies/procedures. Reviews all posted policy changes as required. Adheres to all regulatory guidelines.
+ Demonstrates the ability to assess a situation, consider the options, and formulate an appropriate course of action. Recognizes and performs duties in an independent manner with little or no supervision.
+ Demonstrate initial and annual competency in all appropriate designated lab sections within set deadlines. Accurately performs proficiency testing when scheduled. Participates in continuing education activities.
+ Participates in all facility/corporate mandatory annual training within set deadlines.
+ Is cooperative in assisting the laboratory team in the completion of miscellaneous duties. This may include specimen receiving and putting away supplies when received in the department.
+ Organizes and completes daily tasks in assigned area{s}.
+ Troubleshoots/resolves instrument problems and documents corrective action in appropriate log; when necessary, performs instrumentation repairs. Effectively investigates/resolves specimen collection problems using Outstanding Specimen Report (OSR) and specimen tracking tool when appropriate.
+ Assures quality control is properly performed and logged, works within quality control limits and trends, and follows proper department procedure for corrective action.
+ Preventative maintenance and safety checks of equipment are performed and documented according to schedule.
+ Demonstrates the knowledge and skills to train new employees and/or students in general lab policies/procedures as well as department/section specific policies/procedures.
+ Demonstrates cultural competence by being able to explain procedures by utilizing communication interventions as appropriate for all customers across all ages and populations.
+ Demonstrates knowledge and adheres to all policies relating to the JCAHO National Patient Safety Goals for the Laboratory, including, but not limited to critical call read back and patient identification.
EDUCATION
+ Required: Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or related science required; Associate's degree with MT certification from a nationally accredited association will be accepted in lieu of Bachelor's Degree.
+ Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology
CERTIFICATION
+ Required: Registry eligible, ASCP or equivalent. Successful completion of MT registry within 6 months of eligibility or hire. Continuing education to maintain registry/licensure is required.
+ Preferred: MT(ASCP) or equivalent. Registry/Licensure in a specialty area will be considered. Continuing education to maintain registry/licensure is required.
EXPERIENCE
+ Required: Graduate of accredited school of Clinical Laboratory Science.
+ Preferred: 1-2 years' experience as Medical Technologist

Job Duties
The Library of Virginia seeks an experienced digitization professional to support the Library's mission and strategic goals by leading and contributing to digital initiatives that ensure the responsible development, preservation, and accessibility of digital collections and online content. As a member of the Digital Initiatives & Web Presence (DIWP) division, the successful candidate will be part of a team that blends archival and technical expertise to manage digital systems, produce and maintain descriptive and interactive content, coordinate digitization workflows, and enhance the Library's web presence in service to staff, patrons, and external stakeholders.
The incumbent will lead the day-to-day operation of the Digitization Services Lab to support the development, preservation, and accessibility of the Library's digital collections, applying expert knowledge of digitization standards, metadata practices, and imaging technologies to produce high-quality digital surrogates that meet the needs of internal stakeholders and public users. This is a collaborative position that requires work across departments to align digitization workflows with institutional goals and ensure that digital content is accessible and sustainable.
Key responsibilities:
Digitization Lab Management: Oversees daily operations of the in-house Digitization Services Lab, ensuring timely and accurate completion of digitization requests, and maintains digitization equipment, software, and systems to ensure optimal functionality and compliance with current standards.
Digital Asset Oversight: Collaborates with internal departments to assess needs for managing internal-use digital assets and applies metadata standards, access protocols, and retention guidelines to ensure effective long-term stewardship of internal digital materials.
Format Migration & Digital Conversion: Develops and applies policies, workflows, and procedures that support the effective preservation and long-term accessibility of digital and analog content, including migration and conversion activities by reformatting analog media and preparing digital content in accordance with the Library's preservation and accessibility standards.
Preservation Policy & Standards: Collaborates with DIWP colleagues to design and implement policies that promote the long-term preservation, security, and accessibility of the Library's digital assets.
Minimum Qualifications
* Considerable knowledge of archival and library standards, practices, and procedures, including digitization workflows, imaging protocols, and digital preservation strategies.
* Strong understanding of metadata standards, descriptive practices, data management, and file formats for text, image, and audiovisual content.
* Demonstrated expertise with high-end digital imaging equipment, photographic technologies, and digitization software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Creative Suite, and SilverFast).
* Working knowledge of digital asset management systems, internal-use digital repositories, and tools supporting long-term digital access and storage.
* Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
* Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across teams, develop streamlined workflows, lead lab operations, and produce clear documentation.

SUMMARY:
Purpose of the Job: Provide the highest quality support, care, and supervision for our senior residents by administering medications in accordance with each resident's individual care plan and state regulations in addition to, providing direct personal assistance and supervision.
Responsibilities and Tasks:
1. Consistent and predictable attendance.
2. Dispense prescribed medications to residents according to doctors' written orders. Document properly.
3. Provide direct personal assistance and supervision needed by assisted living and memory care residents with their bathing, dressing, eating, walking, going up and down steps, smoking, and attending to any personal needs the residents may be unable to attend to themselves. Encourage and assist residents to care for their grooming, clothing, and toilet articles, including care of the body, hair, gums, teeth, dentures, fingernails, clothing, and personal items.
4. Document daily including, but not limited to, medication administration, nursing notes, communication with healthcare providers and family members/responsible parties.
5. Handle non-routine housekeeping tasks including, but not limited to, wiping up spills, doing laundry, emptying trash cans, changing sheets or assisting a resident in making their bed.
6. Respond immediately in case of an accident or incident involving a resident. Document incident.
7. Attend training as required as well as complete all Relias training as scheduled.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, or Information Required for Completely Satisfactory Performance:
* Knowledge of principles or processes for providing resident and personal care services.
* Knowledge of the 5 rights of medication administration--The Right: Drug, Dose, Route, Patient, Time.
* Ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong with a resident.
* Ability to listen to and comprehend information and ideas presented from residents and family members.

Education and Licenses: Requires the ability to use fractions, decimals, and commercial arithmetic. Basic knowledge of grammar, spelling, and punctuation is required. Valid Medication Aide license except if working on provisional pending taking the state boards. Must have and maintain CPR and first aid certifications.

Reynolds is currently seeking EMT Instructors to provide hands-on lab instruction and skill validation for students enrolled in the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) program at the EMT level. This role ensures instructional alignment with the National EMS Education Standards, Virginia Office of Emergency Medical Services (OEMS) regulations, and program accreditation requirements. The instructor supports students in developing the cognitive, psychomotor, and affective competencies necessary for success in field internships and certification exams.
This position is responsible for conducting and facilitating lab sessions and tutoring for students in the EMT program. The instructor plays a critical role in helping students understand course material, build technical skills, and prepare for certification as EMTs.
The role includes, but is not limited to the following duties:
* Deliver lab instruction and skill-based assessments aligned with EMT curriculum
* Provide student support and tutoring as needed to reinforce course content
* Evaluate student performance and provide feedback to support mastery of skills
* Maintain accurate documentation of student competencies and attendance
